A primeira que vamos ver indica dura\u00e7\u00e3o, a palavra <em>while <\/em>(enquanto).<\/p>\n<p><em>The teacher was writing on the board <strong>while <\/strong>the students were writing on their notebooks.<\/em> (O professor estava escrevendo na lousa enquanto os alunos estavam escrevendo nos seus cadernos.)<\/p>\n<p>Quando indicamos um ponto espec\u00edfico no tempo usamos <em>when <\/em>ou <em>by the time<\/em> (quando). Quando al\u00e9m do ponto espec\u00edfico, tamb\u00e9m expressamos presteza, usamos <em>as soon as<\/em> (assim que).<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>When \/ By the time<\/strong> his mom arrived, he&#8217;d already done the dishes. <\/em>(Quando \/ Na hora que sua m\u00e3e chegou, ela j\u00e1 tinha lavado a lou\u00e7a.)<br \/>\n<em>Call me <strong>as soon as<\/strong> you get home. <\/em>(Me liga assim que voc\u00ea chegar em casa.)<\/p>\n<p>Para indicar posterioridade, algo que aconteceu depois, usamos as express\u00f5es <em>afterwards, after that<\/em> e <em>then <\/em>(depois, ent\u00e3o). Para indicar anterioridade, algo que aconteceu antes, usamos <em>beforehand, in advance<\/em> e <em>previously <\/em>(de antem\u00e3o, previamente).<\/p>\n<p><em>He studied for the test,<strong> afterwards \/ after that \/ then<\/strong> he went to the gym.<\/em> (Ele estudou para a prova, depois ele foi para a academia.)<br \/>\n<em>You should have thought about that <strong>beforehand \/ in advance \/ previously<\/strong>.<\/em> (Voc\u00ea deveria ter pensado sobre isso de antem\u00e3o \/ antes.)<\/p>\n<p>Lembre-se de que usamos <em>afterwards <\/em>e <em>beforehand <\/em>quando j\u00e1 mencionamos o que j\u00e1 veio antes ou depois.
