Veja alguns exemplos:<\/p>\n<p>Nunca ouvi uma desculpa mais esfarrapada!<br \/>\nFrase com inversion: <em>Never have I heard a weaker excuse!<\/em><br \/>\nFrase normal: <em>I have never heard a weaker excuse!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Perceba que a posi\u00e7\u00e3o das palavras indica que \u00e9 uma pergunta, que na verdade \u00e9 somente uma forma de enfatizar o que est\u00e1 sendo dito. Mais alguns exemplos:<\/p>\n<p><em>Rarely can a minister have been faced with such a problem.<\/em> &#8211; Raramente um ministro tem que enfrentar tal problema.<br \/>\n<em>Seldom has the team given a worse performance. <\/em>&#8211; O time raramente teve um desempenho pior.<br \/>\n<em>Rarely had I had so much responsibility.<\/em> &#8211; Eu raramente tinha tido tanta responsabilidade.<br \/>\n<em>Hardly had the train left the station, when there was an explosion.<\/em> &#8211; O trem mal tinha sa\u00eddo da esta\u00e7\u00e3o quando aconteceu a explos\u00e3o.<br \/>\n<em>Scarcely had I entered the room when the phone rang.<\/em> &#8211; Eu mal tinha entrado quando o telefone tocou.<br \/>\n<em>No sooner had I reached the door than I realised it was locked. <\/em>&#8211; Eu mal tinha chegado \u00e0 porta quando percebi que estava trancada.<br \/>\n<em>No sooner was the team back on the pitch than it started raining.<\/em> &#8211; O time mal tinha chegado \u00e0 quadra quando come\u00e7ou a chover.<br \/>\n<em>Only after posting the letter did I remember that I had forgotten to put on a stamp.<\/em> &#8211; S\u00f3 depois de colocar a carta na caixa do correio que eu me lembrei de que tinha me esquecido de colocar um selo.<br \/>\n<em>On no condition are they to open fire without a warning.<\/em> &#8211; De jeito nenhum eles devem abrir fogo sem um aviso.<br \/>\n<em>Not until I got home did I notice that I had the wrong umbrella.<\/em> &#8211; S\u00f3 quando cheguei em casa percebi que eu estava com o guarda-chuva errado.<br \/>\n<em>Little does she know what&#8217;s happening.<\/em> &#8211; Ela mal sabe o que est\u00e1 acontecendo.<\/p>\n<p>A <em>inversion <\/em>tamb\u00e9m acontece em frases condicionais.<\/p>\n<p>Se eles fossem escapar, haveria um protesto.<br \/>\n<em>If they were to escape, there would be an outcry.<br \/>\nWere they to escape, there would be an outcry.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Se a pol\u00edcia tivesse descoberto, eu estaria encrencado.<br \/>\n<em>If the police had found out, I would have been in trouble.<br \/>\nWere the police to have found out, I would have been in trouble.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Se voc\u00ea por acaso ouvir algo, me avise.<br \/>\n<em>If you should hear anything, let me know.<br \/>\nShould you hear anything, let me know.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Se ele trapaceou, ele ter\u00e1 de ser punido.<br \/>\n<em>If he has cheated, he will have to be punished.<br \/>\nShould he have cheated, he will have to be punished.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Se eu tivesse sabido, teria protestado veementemente.<br \/>\n<em>If I had known, I would have protested strongly.<br \/>\nHad I known, I would have protested strongly.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>See you soon!<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A\u00a0inversion acontece quando usamos adv\u00e9rbios negativos no in\u00edcio da frase, em forma de pergunta, para dar \u00eanfase ao que vai ser dito.
