Continuamos hoje com a segunda e \u00faltima parte dos posts sobre o comparativo e superlativo dos adjetivos. Hoje vamos aprender os comparativos e superlativos de inferioridade e superioridade.<\/p>\n

Comparativo e superlativo de Inferioridade<\/strong><\/p>\n

Comparativo de inferioridade<\/strong>: less + adjetivo + than<\/em><\/p>\n

A silver ring is less expensive than<\/strong> a gold ring.<\/em>
\nUm anel de prata \u00e9 menos caro (do) que um anel de ouro.<\/p>\n

This lesson is less difficult than<\/strong> the previous one.<\/em>
\nEsta li\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 menos dif\u00edcil (do) que a anterior.<\/p>\n

Superlativo de inferioridade<\/strong>: the least + adjetivo<\/em><\/p>\n

The silver ring is the least expensive<\/strong>.<\/em>
\nO anel de prata \u00e9 o menos caro.<\/p>\n

This exercise was the least difficult<\/strong> of all.<\/em>
\nEste exerc\u00edcio foi o menos dif\u00edcil de todos.<\/p>\n

Comparativo e Superlativo de Superioridade<\/strong><\/p>\n

O comparativo e superlativo de superioridade \u00e9 formado considerando o n\u00famero de s\u00edlabas do adjetivo.<\/p>\n

1. Adjetivos de uma s\u00edlaba<\/p>\n

comparativo: adjetivo + er + than<\/em>
\nsuperlativo: the + adjetivo + est<\/em><\/p>\n

Exemplos<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

old <\/em>(velho) – older <\/strong><\/em>(mais velho) – the <\/strong>oldest <\/strong><\/em>(o mais velho)
\nclean <\/em>(limpo) – cleaner <\/strong><\/em>(mais limpo) – the <\/strong>cleanest<\/strong><\/em> (o mais limpo)
\ntall <\/em>(alto) – taller <\/strong><\/em>(mais alto) – the <\/strong>tallest<\/strong><\/em> (o mais alto)
\nsmall <\/em>(pequeno) – smaller <\/strong><\/em>(menor) – the <\/strong>smallest <\/strong><\/em>(o menor)<\/p>\n

Quando um adjetivo de uma s\u00edlaba termina em uma CVC (consoante + vogal + consoante), dobramos a \u00faltima consoante antes de acrescentar -er <\/strong>e -est<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

fat <\/em>(gordo) – fatter <\/strong><\/em>(mais gordo) – the fattest<\/strong><\/em> (o mais gordo)
\nhot <\/em>(quente) – hotter <\/strong><\/em>(mais quente) – the hottest <\/strong><\/em>(o mais quente)
\nbig <\/em>(grande) – bigger <\/strong><\/em>(maior) – the biggest<\/strong><\/em> (o maior)
\nthin <\/em>(magro, fino) – thinner <\/strong><\/em>(mais magro, mais fino) – the thinnest <\/strong><\/em>(o mais magro, o mais fino)<\/p>\n

2. Os adjetivos de duas s\u00edlabas terminados em y<\/em> trocam o y<\/em> por i<\/em> e se acrescenta o -er<\/em> no comparativo e no superlativo, se troca o y<\/em> por i<\/em> e se acrescenta o -est.<\/em><\/p>\n

pretty <\/em>(bonito) – prettier <\/strong><\/em>(mais bonito) – the prettiest<\/strong><\/em> (o mais bonito)
\neasy <\/em>(f\u00e1cil) – easier <\/strong><\/em>(mais f\u00e1cil) – the easiest<\/strong><\/em> (o mais f\u00e1cil)
\nbusy <\/em>(ocupado) – busier <\/strong><\/em>(mais ocupado) – the busiest<\/strong><\/em> (o mais ocupado)<\/p>\n

3. Com adjetivos de duas s\u00edlabas n\u00e3o terminados em y<\/em>, temos:<\/p>\n

Comparativo: more + adjetivo + than<\/em>
\nSuperlativo: the most + adjetivo<\/em><\/p>\n

famous <\/em>(famoso) – more <\/strong>famous<\/em> (mais famoso) – the most<\/strong> famous<\/em> (o mais famoso)
\nmodern <\/em>(moderno) – more <\/strong>modern<\/em> (mais moderno) – the most<\/strong> modern<\/em> (o mais moderno)
\nboring <\/em>(chato) – more <\/strong>boring<\/em> (mais chato) – the most<\/strong> boring<\/em> (o mais chato)
\nconfused <\/em>(confuso) – more <\/strong>confused<\/em> (mais confuso) – the most<\/strong> confused<\/em> (o mais confuso)<\/p>\n

4. Existem adjetivos de duas s\u00edlabas que admitem duas formas para o comparativo e superlativo de superioridade: a forma com as termina\u00e7\u00f5es -er<\/em> e -est<\/em> e a forma com more <\/em>e a termina\u00e7\u00e3o -est<\/em>. Exemplos:<\/p>\n

simple <\/em>(simples) – simpler<\/strong> \/ more <\/strong>simple – the simplest<\/strong> \/ the most <\/strong>simple<\/em>
\ngentle <\/em>(suave) – gentler<\/strong> \/ more <\/strong>gentle – the gentlest<\/strong> \/ the most <\/strong>gentle<\/em>
\nable <\/em>(capaz) – abler<\/strong> \/ more <\/strong>able – the ablest<\/strong> \/ the most <\/strong>able<\/em>
\npolite <\/em>(educado) – politer<\/strong> \/ more <\/strong>polite – the politest<\/strong> \/ the most <\/strong>polite<\/em>
\nclever <\/em>(esperto) – cleverer<\/strong> \/ more <\/strong>clever – the cleverest<\/strong> \/ the most <\/strong>clever<\/em>
\n quiet <\/em>(quieto) – quieter<\/strong> \/ more <\/strong>quiet – the quietest<\/strong> \/ the most <\/strong>quiet<\/em>
\n narrow <\/em>(estreito) – narrower<\/strong> \/ more <\/strong>narrow – the narrowest<\/strong> \/ the most <\/strong>narrow<\/em>

5. Com adjetivos de tr\u00eas ou mais s\u00edlabas temos:<\/p>\n

Para terminar, h\u00e1 alguns poucos adjetivos de uma s\u00edlaba aos que n\u00e3o se costuma acrescentar -er <\/em>para formar o comparativo de superioridade, embora o superlativo seja formado ao se acrescentar a termina\u00e7\u00e3o -est<\/em>. Alguns exemplos:<\/p>\n

rude <\/em>(grosseiro) – more <\/strong>rude <\/em>(mais grosseiro) – the rudest<\/strong><\/em> (o mais grosseiro)
