1. go haywire<\/strong> – pifar, parar de funcionar. Haywire era um fio bem fininho usado para amarrar o feno (hay<\/em>) nas fazendas. No come\u00e7o do s\u00e9culo XX cunhou-se a frase a haywire outfit<\/em>, que era usada para indicar as empresas que utilizavam tal fio para consertar temporariamente algumas m\u00e1quinas, por isso n\u00e3o funcionava muito bem.<\/p>\n
