Adam’s Ribs<\/strong>
\nAs Costelas de Ad\u00e3o<\/p>\n

At Sunday School they were teaching how God created everything, including human beings<\/em>.
\nNa escola dominical (catecismo) eles estavam ensinando como Deus criou tudo, incluindo os seres humanos.<\/p>\n

Little Johnny, a child in the kindergarten class, seemed especially interested when they told him how Eve was created out of one of Adam’s ribs.<\/em>
\nO pequeno Johnny, um menino do jardim da inf\u00e2ncia, ficou muito interessado quando lhe disseram como Eva foi criada das costelas de Ad\u00e3o.<\/p>\n

Later in the week his mother noticed him lying down as though he were ill, and said, “Johnny what is the matter?”<\/em>
\nDurante a semana sua m\u00e3e percebeu que ele estava deitado como se estivesse doente, e disse, “Johnny, qual \u00e9 o problema?”<\/p>\n

Little Johnny responded, “I have a pain in my side. I think I’m going to have a wife.”<\/em>

The Seagull<\/strong>
\nA Gaivota<\/p>\n

A father was at the beach with his children when his four-year-old son ran up to him, grabbed his hand, and led him to the shore, where a seagull lay dead in the sand.<\/em>
\nUm pai estava na praia com seus filhos quando seu filho de quatro anos correu at\u00e9 ele, agarrou sua m\u00e3o e o levou at\u00e9 onde estava uma gaivota morta na areia.<\/p>\n

“Daddy, what happened to him?” the son asked.<\/em>
\n“Papai, o que aconteceu com ele?” o filho perguntou. ”<\/p>\n

“He died and went to Heaven,” the dad replied.<\/em>
\n“Ele morreu e foi para o C\u00e9u,” o pai respondeu.<\/p>\n

The boy thought a moment as he and his father stood looking at the seagull.<\/em>

Finally the son said, “Why did God throw him back down?”<\/em>

My Father is the Greatest<\/strong>
\nMeu Pai \u00e9 o Melhor<\/p>\n

Three boys are in the schoolyard bragging of how great their fathers are.<\/em>
\nTr\u00eas meninos est\u00e3o no p\u00e1tio da escola orgulhosos de como seus pais s\u00e3o bons.<\/p>\n

The first one says: “Well, my father runs the fastest. He can fire an arrow, and start to run, I tell you, he gets there before the arrow”.<\/em>
\nO primeiro diz: “Bem, meu pai corre mais r\u00e1pido. Ele pode atirar uma flecha e come\u00e7ar a correr, e vou te falar, ele chega l\u00e1 antes da flecha”.<\/p>\n

The second one says: “Ha! You think that’s fast! My father is a hunter. He can shoot his gun and be there before the bullet”.<\/em>
\nO segundo diz: “Ha! Voc\u00ea acha que isso \u00e9 r\u00e1pido! Meu pai \u00e9 ca\u00e7ador. Ele d\u00e1 um tiro e chega l\u00e1 antes da bala.”<\/p>\n

The third one listens to the other two and shakes his head. He then says: “You two know nothing about fast. My father is a civil servant.<\/em>
\nO terceiro escuta os dois e balan\u00e7a a cabe\u00e7a. Ent\u00e3o diz: “Voc\u00eas n\u00e3o sabem nada de r\u00e1pido. Meu pai \u00e9 funcion\u00e1rio p\u00fablico.”<\/p>\n

“He stops working at 4:30 and he is home by 3:45!”<\/em>
