Veja alguns exemplos:<\/p>\n<p><em>You look kind of sick. You <strong>should \/ ought to<\/strong> see a doctor.<\/em><br \/>\nVoc\u00ea parece meio doente. Voc\u00ea deveria ir ao m\u00e9dico.<\/p>\n<p><em>I know I <strong>should \/ ought to<\/strong> study, but I&#8217;m so tired&#8230;<\/em><br \/>\nSei que deveria estudar, mas estou t\u00e3o cansado&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Must <\/strong>\u00e9 usado para expressar obriga\u00e7\u00e3o forte, ordem, necessidade. Com esse sentido, tamb\u00e9m podemos usar <strong>have\/has to<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em>I&#8217;m too fat. I <strong>must \/ have to<\/strong> lose weight.<\/em><br \/>\nEstou gordo demais. Tenho que\/Devo perder peso.<\/p>\n<p>O uso de <strong>must <\/strong>e <strong>should\/ought to<\/strong> depende do que queremos expressar. Por exemplo, se formos ao m\u00e9dico e ele vir que estamos quase tendo um ataque card\u00edaco causado pelo excesso de cigarro ele vai dizer:<\/p>\n<p><em>You must stop smoking!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Agora se o m\u00e9dico nos der somente um conselho amig\u00e1vel ele vai dizer:<\/p>\n<p><em>You <strong>should <\/strong>stop smoking, it&#8217;s not good for your health.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Se quisermos expressar uma obriga\u00e7\u00e3o no passado usamos <strong>had to<\/strong> em vez de <strong>must<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em>I had to work on the weekend.<\/em><br \/>\nTive que trabalhar no fim de semana.<\/p>\n<p>O uso das formas negativas <strong>must not (mustn&#8217;t)<\/strong> e <strong>do not (don&#8217;t) \/ does not (doesn&#8217;t) have to<\/strong> tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 diferente. <strong>Mustn&#8217;t<\/strong> indica uma proibi\u00e7\u00e3o e <strong>don&#8217;t\/doesn&#8217;t have to<\/strong> indica falta de obriga\u00e7\u00e3o\/necessidade.<\/p>\n<p><em>You <strong>mustn&#8217;t<\/strong> talk loud in a library.<\/em><br \/>\nVoc\u00ea n\u00e3o pode\/deve falar algo numa biblioteca.<\/p>\n<p><em>You <strong>don&#8217;t have to<\/strong> buy that book. It&#8217;s 7.10, so she <strong>must <\/strong>be there.<\/em><br \/>\nEu lhe disse para estar l\u00e1 \u00e0s 7.
