Em ingl\u00eas, por\u00e9m, apenas o \u00faltimo algarismo vai para a forma ordinal.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Os ordinais que seguem nomes pr\u00f3prios, quando pronunciados, s\u00e3o precedidos de um artigo definido (<strong>the<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p><em>Queen Elizabeth II (<strong>the <\/strong>Second)<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Pope John XXIII (<strong>the <\/strong>Twenty-third)<\/em><br \/>\n<em> King Henry VII (<strong>the <\/strong>Eighth)<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Pope Paul VI (<strong>the <\/strong>Sixth)<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Os Anos<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Usamos o plural das dezenas para indicar d\u00e9cadas ou quando se quer dizer &#8220;quarent\u00e3o&#8221;, &#8220;cinquent\u00e3o&#8221;, etc.<\/p>\n<p><em>This kind of shirt was very fashionable in the <strong>fifties<\/strong>.<\/em><br \/>\nEsse tipo de camisa estava muito na moda na d\u00e9cada de cinquenta.<\/p>\n<p><em>In the <strong>eighties <\/strong>people started paying more attention to their bodies.<\/em><br \/>\nNos anos oitenta as pessoas come\u00e7aram a prestar mais aten\u00e7\u00e3o ao seu corpo.<\/p>\n<p><em>Sara is still in her <strong>twenties<\/strong>.<\/em><br \/>\nA Sara ainda est\u00e1 na casa dos vinte.<\/p>\n<p><em>Mr Souza is in his <strong>fifties<\/strong>.<\/em><br \/>\nO Sr Souza \u00e9 cinquent\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Podemos tamb\u00e9m usar os prefixos<strong> early-, mid-<\/strong> e<strong> late-<\/strong> para indicar a que parte da dezena nos referimos:<\/p>\n<p><strong>early-thirties<\/strong> = com trinta e poucos anos<br \/>\n<strong>mid-thirties<\/strong> = com uns 35, 36<br \/>\n<strong>late-thirties<\/strong> = com trinta e tantos anos, quase quarenta<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Para ler os anos em ingl\u00eas \u00e9 diferente do que em portugu\u00eas. Veja como fica:<\/p>\n<p>1988 &#8211; nineteen eighty-eight (dezenove oitenta e oito)<br \/>\n1820 &#8211; eighteen twenty (dezoito vinte)<\/p>\n<p>Quando o algarismo for 0 (zero), lemos da seguinte forma:<\/p>\n<p>1805 &#8211; eighteen oh five<br \/>\n1907 &#8211; nineteen oh seven<\/p>\n<p>Quando o ano acaba em 00:<\/p>\n<p>1900 &#8211; nineteen hundred (dezenove cem)<br \/>\n1700 &#8211; seventeen hundred (dezessete cem)<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Para ler data os n\u00fameros v\u00e3o sempre para a forma ordinal:<\/p>\n<p><em>On July 19th <\/em>&#8211; no dia 19 de julho<br \/>\n<strong>The test will be on the 19th<\/strong>. &#8211; A prova ser\u00e1 no diz 19.<\/p>\n<p>This is it for today!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hi!
