O t\u00edtulo do post \u00e9 s\u00f3 para introduzir v\u00e1rias express\u00f5es comuns em portugu\u00eas com o verbo &#8220;pegar&#8221;!<\/p>\n<p><em>Are you ready? Let&#8217;s start!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Sabe quando um corte de cabelo ou um tipo de roupa &#8220;pega&#8221;, quer dizer, entra na moda e todo mundo usa? Em ingl\u00eas usamos o verbo <strong>to catch on<\/strong> para expressar essa ideia. Veja um exemplo:<\/p>\n<p>That new hairstyle <strong>caught on<\/strong> because of the soap opera.<br \/>\n<em>Aquele novo penteado pegou por causa da novela.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Voc\u00ea tamb\u00e9m pode &#8220;pegar algu\u00e9m de surpresa&#8221; ou &#8220;pegar algu\u00e9m em flagrante&#8221; ou &#8220;no flagra&#8221;. Nestes casos tamb\u00e9m usamos o verbo <strong>to catch<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<p>I was<strong> taken by surprise<\/strong> when she decided to quit her job.<br \/>\n<em>Fui <strong>pego de surpresa<\/strong> quando ela decidiu sair do seu trabalho.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>He was <strong>caught red-handed<\/strong> cheating on the English exam. What a shame!<br \/>\n<em>Ele foi <strong>pego em flagrante<\/strong> colando na prova de ingl\u00eas.
