Vamos come\u00e7ar a semana falando de comida, oh yeah! N\u00e3o sei se eu j\u00e1 disse isso aqui, mas eu gosto de cozinhar – nada muito elaborado e o que eu fa\u00e7o fica muito bom, modesty aside<\/em>!<\/p>\n

Fa\u00e7o um strogonoff que fica finger-lickin’ good<\/em> – de lamber os dedos – e aqui no Brasil \u00e0s vezes o acompanhamos com a nossa batata palha.<\/p>\n

Fiquei pensando como eu diria batata palha em ingl\u00eas, fiz uma pesquisa e olha o que eu descobri:<\/p>\n

Potato chips<\/strong> s\u00e3o as batatas fritas que vem em saquinho, igual Ruffles. Em ingl\u00eas brit\u00e2nico as chamamos de potato crisps.<\/em><\/p>\n

French fries<\/strong> ou fries<\/strong> s\u00e3o as batatas fritas, aquelas que s\u00e3o servidas no bar ou que vem acompanhando um sandu\u00edche. Em ingl\u00eas brit\u00e2nico as chamamos de potato chips<\/em> (olha a confus\u00e3o!).<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>A nossa batata palha tem dois nomes em ingl\u00eas: potato straws<\/strong> (tradu\u00e7\u00e3o literal e usada), que podem ou n\u00e3o ser mais finas como a nossa batata palha, ou shoestring potatoes<\/strong>, que v\u00eam bem fininhas.<\/p>\n
