Vejamos alguns exemplos:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Though<\/strong> we are only a small country, we have a long and glorious history. <em>[<strong>Embora<\/strong> sejamos somente um pa\u00eds pequeno, temos uma longa e gloriosa hist\u00f3ria.]<\/em><br \/>\nThe journey, <strong>though<\/strong> difficult, involved no real danger.<em> [A viagem, <strong>embora<\/strong> dif\u00edcil, n\u00e3o envolveu grandes perigos.]<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Tamb\u00e9m usamos a forma <strong>even though<\/strong> para dar mais \u00eanfase:<\/p>\n<p>He went on fighting<strong> even though<\/strong> he was wounded. <em>[Ele continuou lutando mesmo estando ferido.]<\/em><br \/>\n<strong>Even though<\/strong> he never completed college, he runs a successful software company. <em>[Embora ele n\u00e3o tenha acabado a faculdade, ele gerencia uma empresa de softwares de sucesso.]<\/em><br \/>\nMost of us ignore this good advice, even though we know it to be true. <em>[A maioria de n\u00f3s ignora este \u00f3timo conselho, embora saibamos que \u00e9 verdadeiro.]<\/em><br \/>\nEven though I have a master&#8217;s degree in business administration, I can&#8217;t fill out my tax form.<em> [Embora eu tenha mestrado em administra\u00e7\u00e3o, n\u00e3o consigo fazer meu imposto de renda.]<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Though tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 usado depois de adjetivos, em frases mais complexas:<\/p>\n<p>Poor <strong>though<\/strong> her family was, they would never ask for help. <em>[Embora sua familia fosse pobre, eles nunca pediam ajuda.]<\/em><br \/>\nOdd <strong>though<\/strong> it may seem, I never found out his name. [Embora pare\u00e7a estranho, nunca descobri o nome dele.]<\/p>\n<p>Mais alguns exemplos:<\/p>\n<p>I really enjoyed your lecture, <strong>though<\/strong> there were some parts I didn&#8217;t quite understand. <em>[Gostei muito da sua palestra, <strong>embora<\/strong> houvesse algumas partes que n\u00e3o entendi muito bem.]<\/em><br \/>\nI departed willingly, <strong>though<\/strong> sadly. <em>[Fui embora porque quis, <strong>embora<\/strong> estivesse triste.]<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Though<\/strong> tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 usado no final da frase para expressar a ideia de adversidade e \u00e9 sin\u00f4nimo de &#8220;but&#8221; (mas).<\/p>\n<p>It was very cloudy. It didn&#8217;t rain, <strong>though<\/strong>. <em>[Estava muito nublado, <strong>mas<\/strong> n\u00e3o choveu.]<\/em><br \/>\nThe local food is delicious. A word of warning <strong>though<\/strong> \u2013 avoid the salads. <em>[A comida local \u00e9 deliciosa. <strong>Mas<\/strong> um aviso &#8211; evite as saladas.]<\/em><br \/>\nIt sounds like a lot of fun.
