Though<\/strong> quer dizer “embora”, indica uma concess\u00e3o. Vejamos alguns exemplos:<\/p>\n

Though<\/strong> we are only a small country, we have a long and glorious history. [Embora<\/strong> sejamos somente um pa\u00eds pequeno, temos uma longa e gloriosa hist\u00f3ria.]<\/em>
\nThe journey, though<\/strong> difficult, involved no real danger. [A viagem, embora<\/strong> dif\u00edcil, n\u00e3o envolveu grandes perigos.]<\/em><\/p>\n

Tamb\u00e9m usamos a forma even though<\/strong> para dar mais \u00eanfase:<\/p>\n

He went on fighting even though<\/strong> he was wounded. [Ele continuou lutando mesmo estando ferido.]<\/em>
\nEven though<\/strong> he never completed college, he runs a successful software company. [Embora ele n\u00e3o tenha acabado a faculdade, ele gerencia uma empresa de softwares de sucesso.]<\/em>
\nMost of us ignore this good advice, even though we know it to be true. [A maioria de n\u00f3s ignora este \u00f3timo conselho, embora saibamos que \u00e9 verdadeiro.]<\/em>
\nEven though I have a master’s degree in business administration, I can’t fill out my tax form. [Embora eu tenha mestrado em administra\u00e7\u00e3o, n\u00e3o consigo fazer meu imposto de renda.]<\/em><\/p>\n

Though tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 usado depois de adjetivos, em frases mais complexas:<\/p>\n

Poor though<\/strong> her family was, they would never ask for help. [Embora sua familia fosse pobre, eles nunca pediam ajuda.]<\/em>
\nOdd though<\/strong> it may seem, I never found out his name. [Embora pare\u00e7a estranho, nunca descobri o nome dele.]<\/p>\n

Mais alguns exemplos:<\/p>\n

I really enjoyed your lecture, though<\/strong> there were some parts I didn’t quite understand. [Gostei muito da sua palestra, embora<\/strong> houvesse algumas partes que n\u00e3o entendi muito bem.]<\/em>
\nI departed willingly, though<\/strong> sadly. [Fui embora porque quis, embora<\/strong> estivesse triste.]<\/em><\/p>\n

Though<\/strong> tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 usado no final da frase para expressar a ideia de adversidade e \u00e9 sin\u00f4nimo de “but” (mas).<\/p>\n

It was very cloudy. It didn’t rain, though<\/strong>. [Estava muito nublado, mas<\/strong> n\u00e3o choveu.]<\/em>
\nThe local food is delicious. A word of warning though<\/strong> \u2013 avoid the salads. [A comida local \u00e9 deliciosa. Mas<\/strong> um aviso – evite as saladas.]<\/em>
\nIt sounds like a lot of fun. Isn’t it rather risky though<\/strong>? [Parece muito divertido, mas<\/strong> n\u00e3o \u00e9 um tanto perigoso?]<\/em><\/p>\n
