E hoje vamos aprofundar um pouco mais este assunto com quatro dicas mais avan\u00e7adas. Are you ready?<\/em><\/p>\n

1. Usamos as seguintes express\u00f5es com os comparativos:<\/strong><\/p>\n

much – muito
\na lot – muito
\nfar – muito
\na bit – um pouco
\na little – um pouco
\nslightly – um pouco<\/p>\n

Veja alguns exemplos:<\/p>\n

Going by bus is much cheaper than going by car. – Ir de \u00f4nibus \u00e9 muito mais barato do que ir de carro.
\n“How are you feeling?” “Much better, thanks.” – “Como voc\u00ea est\u00e1 se sentindo?” “Muito melhor, obrigado.”
\nGoing by car is a lot more expensive. – Ir de carro \u00e9 muito mais caro.
\nPlease, speak a bit more slowly. – Por favor, fale um pouco mais devagar.
\nThis book is slightly heavier than the other one. – Este livro \u00e9 um pouco mais pesado do que o outro.
\nHer illness is far more serious than we thought. – A doen\u00e7a dela \u00e9 muito mais s\u00e9ria do que pens\u00e1vamos.<\/p>\n

2. Podemos usar any<\/em> e no<\/em> com o comparativo para dar \u00eanfase.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I can’t wait any longer. – N\u00e3o consigo esperar mais.
\nI thought their house was very big, but it’s no bigger than ours. – Achei que a casa deles era muito grande, mas n\u00e3o \u00e9 (nada) maior do que a nossa.
\nDo you feel any better now? – Est\u00e1 se sentindo melhor agora?<\/p>\n

3. O comparativo gradual acontece quando repetimos a forma do adjetivo no comparativo e a palavra and<\/em>. Corresponde ao nosso “cada vez mais…”.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Your English is getting better and better. – Seu ingl\u00eas est\u00e1 ficando cada vez melhor.
\nThis city is getting bigger and bigger. – Esta cidade est\u00e1 ficando cada vez maior.
\nI got more and more bored in my job. – Fiquei cada vez mais entediado no meu trabalho.<\/p>\n

4. The… the…<\/strong><\/p>\n

We should leave the sooner the better. – Devemos ir embora o mais cedo poss\u00edvel.
\nI need a big box. The bigger the better. – Preciso de uma caixa grande. Quanto maior, melhor.
\nWhen I travel, the less luggage I have the better. – Quando eu viajo, quanto menos bagagem eu tiver, melhor.<\/p>\n

The sooner you leave, the earlier you’ll arrive. – Quanto mais cedo voc\u00ea sair, mais cedo voc\u00ea vai chegar.
\nThe younger you are, the easier it is to learn. – Quanto mais jovem voc\u00ea \u00e9, mais f\u00e1cil \u00e9 de aprender.
\nThe more expensive the hotel, the better the service. – Quanto mais caro o hotel, melhor o servi\u00e7o.
\nThe more I thought about the plan, the less I liked it. – Quanto mais eu pensava no plano, menos eu gostava.<\/p>\n
