How is your October going?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Como uma professora, pude notar ao longo dos anos a dificuldade que muitos alunos enfrentam para fazer o emprego correto do <\/span><b>whose<\/b>, palavrinha importat\u00edssima que costuma ser esquecida por muitos<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. No caso do <strong>whose<\/strong>, utilizamos para indagar sobre o dono de algo, para saber a quem pertence. Observe como fazer uma pergunta com o <\/span><b>whose<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Whose<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> book is this? &#8211; <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">De quem<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u00e9 esse livro?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Whose<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> children are those? &#8211; <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">De quem<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> s\u00e3o aquelas crian\u00e7as?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Notou a diferen\u00e7a na constru\u00e7\u00e3o da pergunta nos dois idiomas? Em ingl\u00eas, o whose \u00e9 seguido por um <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">noun<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (substantivo) para em seguida acrescentarmos o verbo, enquanto em portugu\u00eas a ordem \u00e9 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2018de quem\u2019 + verbo<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. Da Jane ou da Anna?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In <em>whose<\/em> house are you going to spend the night? &#8211; Voc\u00ea vai dormir na casa <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">de quem<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><em>Whose<\/em> dirty t-shirt is this on the floor? &#8211; <em>De quem<\/em> \u00e9 essa camiseta suja no ch\u00e3o?<\/li>\n<li><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Whose<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> painting did you like best at the Louvre? &#8211; A pintura<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> de quem<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> voc\u00ea mais gostou no Louvre?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Whose<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> apartament are they visiting? &#8211; Elas est\u00e3o visitando o apartamento<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> de quem<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">?<\/span><\/li>\n<li>I don&#8217;t know<em> whose<\/em> dog this is &#8211; Eu n\u00e3o sei\u00a0<em>de quem<\/em> \u00e9 esse cachorro<br \/>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\"><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\"><b>Relative pronoun<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">O whose como relative pronoun \u00e9 usado para fornecer mais informa\u00e7\u00f5es sobre um sujeito, ainda expressando uma rela\u00e7\u00e3o de posse. Nesse caso, ele pode ser traduzido pela palavra <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">cujo<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. Lembrando que ele permanece sendo seguido por um <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">noun<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (substantivo).
