This style of architecture is called “Carpenter Gothic.”\u00a0 I haven’t found an exact Irish phrase for it but “Gotach<\/b>” is “Gothic” and there are at least three words for “carpenter.” \u00a0“Saor adhmaid<\/b>” is the most widely used in my experience but there are also the terms “si\u00fain\u00e9ir<\/b>” (joiner) and “cearpant\u00f3ir<\/b>.”<\/p>\n
