I’m sure we’ve all been reading for the past couple of weeks about the tragic balcony collapse in Berkeley, California, and the six deaths that resulted (Ashley Donohoe, Eoghan Culligan, Olivia Burke, Lorc\u00e1n Miller, Eimear Walsh, Niccolai Schuster).\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

First I would like to express my condolences (mo chomhbhr\u00f3n<\/strong>) to the families of those involved.\u00a0 For those who were injured (gortaithe<\/strong>), I would just like to express my hopes that they will be “ag bisi\u00fa go maith<\/strong>.”\u00a0 Sadly, it is clear that in some cases the injuries may be permanent, but, as Clodagh Cogley’s inspiring words (“to honour those who died by living the happiest and most fulfilling life possible”) have shown, the spirit is indomitable (dochlo\u00edte<\/strong>).<\/p>\n
