In our first two blogs about Amber, the kitten that we rescued three weeks ago, Serena wrote the text in Italian followed by an English translation. In the third blog I wrote in English followed by an Italian translation. Well, here’s part 4, and this time it’s your turn dear readers. I’m going to write a series of short sentences in English that retell the story of Amber, and I’d like you to choose at least one of them, have a go at translating it into Italian, and post it as a comment. Of course, if you feel up to it you can translate as many of the sentences as you like!

Here are the rules:

1. no judgements about other people’s translations

2. no judgements about other people’s translations

3. no judgements about other people’s translations

4. well, you get the idea ….

In short, I want you to feel free to have a go knowing that your mistakes will not be criticized. After all, we’re all learners here, myself included!
Making mistakes is an important part of the learning process, and allowing Serena and myself to identify commonly made mistakes greatly helps us to write blogs that are appropriate to your needs. Allora, coraggio ragazzi! You’ll find nearly all of the vocabulary you need in parts 1 to 3 of The Story of Lucky Number Seven.

  7. Guest:

    Ciao Geoff e Serena:
Sapete che sempre seguo il vostro blog. Questo esercizio mi è piaciuto molto, ma sarei piaciuta di più se voi me dicessi che sbaglio ho commesso.

    Part I
