\n<\/u>All’italiano medio piace mettersi in mostra, e questo lo sappiamo. Che sia in spiaggia, in una serata d’animazione per gli ospiti di un resort o semplicemente durante una conversazione ogni pretesto \u00e8 buono per apparire. Il fatto \u00e8 che alcune persone il carisma e il fascino che le mette al centro dell’attenzione ce l’hanno nel sangue. Altre invece non si arrendono proprio all’idea di non essere considerati, e fanno di tutto per essere dei protagonisti. Che sia per brevi o lunghi momenti, si tratta comunque di un atteggiamento costante e ripetuto. Una miscela di presunzione, arroganza e supponenza che scaturisce nel peggiore egocentrismo: la sbruffonaggine.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Incurable Boaster
\n<\/u>The Italians like to show off, and this we know. Whether it\u2019s on the beach, at a lively evening for the guests\u00a0of a resort, or simply during a conversation, any excuse is an opportunity to be the centre of attention. The fact is that some people\u00a0are born with\u00a0the charisma and charm that makes them the centre of attention. Others, instead, can\u2019t give in to the idea of not being worthy of attention, and will do anything to become the protagonist. Whether for short or long periods it is, however, a constant and repetitive attitude. A mixture of conceit, arrogance and superciliousness that unleashes the worst kind of egocentric behaviour: bragging.<\/p>\n

L’Ingenuo Mercante
\n<\/u>Come abbiamo visto, un elemento che contraddistingue la personalit\u00e0 dell’italiano “tipizzato” \u00e8 la furbizia. O meglio, la presunta furbizia, che gli fa ritenere di essere al di sopra degli altri. Nell’immaginario \u2013 e non solo in quello \u2013 l’italiano salta le file, paga di meno, entra dove gli altri non possono\u2026\u00a0O almeno, crede di poterlo fare, che sia un suo preciso diritto in quanto italiano. Tale livello di furbizia si esprime al suo massimo in un preciso contesto: i mercati.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Naive Trader<\/span>
\nAs we\u2019ve seen, one element that characterises the typical Italian personality is craftiness. Or rather, a presumed craftiness, that causes him to think himself better than others. In his imagination \u2013 and not only\u00a0\u2013 the Italian jumps queues and gets in where others can\u2019t \u2026 Or at least believes he can, because it\u2019s clearly one of his rights as an Italian. This level of craftiness reaches its highest level of expression in a precise context: markets (I really do encourage you to read the rest of the article as it\u2019s very entertaining \u2026 and true!)<\/em><\/p>\n

L’Inadattabile Campanilista<\/strong><\/span>
\nForse la peggiore categoria di tutte. Chi viaggia generalmente torna a casa con occhi diversi, perch\u00e9 ha vissuto esperienze nuove, conosciuto diverse culture e sperimentato differenti stili di vita. E spesso questo porta a rinforzare ancora di pi\u00f9 l’amore verso la propria terra e la propria cultura. Ma a volte nell’italiano questo attaccamento si manifesta in senso opposto. Ci sono quelli che viaggiano verso terre sconosciute aspettando di trovare tutto quello che hanno a casa. Sembra un paradosso ma \u00e8 cos\u00ec.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Inflexible Parochialist<\/span>
\nPerhaps the worst category of all. Those who travel generally return home with a different outlook, because they have had new experiences, known different cultures and experienced other ways of life. And this often serves to further reinforce their love for their own land and culture. But sometimes with the Italians this attachment manifests itself in the opposite way. There are those who travel towards unknown lands expecting to find everything that they have at home. It seems paradoxical, but that\u2019s how it is.<\/p>\n
