\nA young lady is browsing the windows of a very expensive negozio di calzature<\/strong> (shoe shop), obviously tempted by l\u2019occasionissima<\/strong> (the fantastic bargains).<\/p>\n

She enters the shop …….<\/p>\n

Commessa: \u201cDesidera signora?\u201d<\/strong>
\nShop assistant: \u201cCan I help you Ma’am?\u201d<\/p>\n

Ragazza: \u201cVolevo vedere quel paio di stivaletti neri che avete l\u00ec in vetrina\u201d<\/strong>
\nYoung lady: \u201cI\u2019d like to see that pair of black ankle boots that you\u2019ve got in the window\u201d<\/p>\n

Commessa: \u201cQuali, signora? Mi fa vedere?\u201d<\/strong>
\nShop assistant: \u201cWhich ones, Ma\u2019am? Can you show me?\u201d<\/p>\n

Ragazza, indicando un paio di stivaletti fuori in vetrina: \u201cEcco, quelli l\u00ec\u201d<\/strong>
\nYoung lady, pointing at a pair of ankle boots in the window: \u201cThere, those ones there\u201d<\/p>\n

Commessa: \u201cChe numero porta?\u201d<\/strong>
\nShop assistant: \u201cWhat size are you?\u201d<\/p>\n

Ragazza: \u201cIl 38\u201d<\/strong>
\nYoung lady: \u201cSize 38\u201d (= US 7.5, UK 5)<\/p>\n

Commessa: \u201cUn momento che vado a vedere\u201d<\/strong>
\nShop assistant: \u201cJust a moment that I\u2019ll go and check\u201d<\/p>\n

ma ragazzi, qui siamo proprio fuori!!!<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

La commessa scompare nel retrobottega e ricompare dopo pochi minuti con un paio scatole.<\/strong>
\nThe shop assistant disappears into the back of the shop and reappears a few minutes later carrying a couple of boxes.<\/p>\n

Commessa: \u201cMi dispiace, il 38 in nero non ce l\u2019abbiamo. C\u2019\u00e8 in beige, se lo vuole provare, oppure abbiamo quest\u2019altro modello molto simile, ma col tacco pi\u00f9 alto\u201d, dice la commessa mostrando un paio di stivaletti bellissimi e dall\u2019aspetto molto costoso: \u201cE\u2019 un modellino molto elegante, tutto in vera pelle, morbidissima \u2026\u201d<\/strong>
\nShop assistant: \u201cI\u2019m sorry, we haven’t got any 38’s in black. There are beige ones, if you\u2019d like to try them on, otherwise we have this other model, very similar but with a higher heel\u201d, says the shop assistant showing a pair of really beautiful and very expensive looking ankle boots: \u201cIt\u2019s a very elegant model, all in real leather, really supple \u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

Ragazza, immediatamente sedotta dai nuovi stivaletti: \u201cVa bene, li provo\u201d<\/strong>
\nYoung lady, immediately seduced by the new ankle boots: \u201cOK, I\u2019ll try them on\u201d<\/p>\n

Commessa: \u201cCome calzano?\u201d<\/strong>
\nShop assistant: \u201cHow do they fit?\u201d<\/p>\n

Ragazza: \u201cSono un pochino grandi. Ha un numero pi\u00f9 piccolo?\u201d<\/strong>
\nYoung lady: \u201cThey are a little bit big. Do you have a smaller size?\u201d<\/p>\n

Commessa: \u201cVado a vedere\u201d<\/strong>
\nShop assistant: \u201cI\u2019ll go and check\u201d<\/p>\n

Ragazza: \u201cIntanto provo quelli beige\u201d<\/strong>
\nYoung Lady: \u201cIn the mean time I\u2019ll try the beige ones”<\/p>\n

Commessa: \u201cS\u00ec, certo\u201d. Poi, tornando dal magazzino a mani vuote: \u201cMi dispiace, il 37 l\u2019abbiamo terminato. Quelli beige come vanno?\u201d<\/strong>
\nShop assistant: \u201cYes, certainly\u201d. Then coming back from the storeroom empty handed: \u201cI\u2019m sorry, there are no 37’s. How do the beige ones feel?\u201d<\/p>\n

Ragazza: \u201cCalzano alla perfezione, ma quelli neri mi piacciono di pi\u00f9 \u2026 li riprovo un attimo\u201d<\/strong>
\nYoung lady: \u201cThey fit perfectly, but I like the black ones better \u2026 I\u2019ll try them on again\u201d<\/p>\n

Commessa: \u201cStiamo andando incontro all\u2019inverno, per cui anche se sono un po\u2019 grandi \u00e8 meglio \u2026 ci pu\u00f2 mettere dentro una soletta o indossare un paio di calze di lana che la tengono pi\u00f9 calda. E poi il nero \u00e8 pi\u00f9 adatto per l\u2019inverno, il beige \u00e8 pi\u00f9 estivo\u201d<\/strong>
\nShop assistant: \u201cWe are getting towards the winter season, so it\u2019s better if they are slightly big \u2026 you can put an innersole or wear a pair of wool socks which will keep you warmer. And what\u2019s more black is more appropriate for winter, beige is more of a summer colour\u201d<\/p>\n

Ragazza, facendosi convincere velocemente: \u201cS\u00ec, ha ragione \u2026 posso metterci un paio di calze di lana. Quanto vengono?\u201d<\/strong>
\nYoung lady, allowing herself to be convinced easily: \u201c Yes, you’re right \u2026 I can wear a pair of wool socks. How much are they?\u201d<\/p>\n

\nShop assistant: \u201cTwo hundred and seventy Euro\u201d<\/p>\n

Ragazza, un po\u2019 delusa: \u201cMamma mia, \u00e8 pi\u00f9 di quanto volevo spendere!\u201d<\/strong>
\nYoung lady, a little disappointed: \u201cMama mia, it\u2019s more than I wanted to spend!\u201d<\/p>\n

Commessa: \u201cSono tutti in vera pelle, fatti benissimo. Le posso fare un po\u2019 di sconto …. diciamo duecentosessanta!\u201d<\/strong>
\nShop assistant: \u201cThey are made completely of real leather, very well made. I can give you a little discount …. let’s say two hundred and sixty!\u201d<\/p>\n

Ragazza, dopo qualche istante di esitazione: \u201cVa bene, li prendo\u201d<\/strong>
\nYoung lady, after a moment’s hesitation: \u201cOK, I’ll have them\u201d<\/p>\n

Commessa: \u201cVedr\u00e0 che non si pentir\u00e0. Sono stupendi!\u201d<\/strong>
\nShop assistant: \u201cYou won’t regret it. They are wonderful!\u201d<\/p>\n

Ragazza: \u201cEcco a lei\u00a0duecentosessanta euro. Grazie e arrivederci\u201d<\/strong>
\nYoung lady: \u201cHere’s two hundred and sixty Euro. Thank you and goodbye\u201d<\/p>\n

The young lady leaves the shoe shop: \u201cOkay, let’s go and withdraw some cash!\u201d she says.
\nShe disappears down a dark side alley and re-emerges a few minutes later dressed completely in black, and wearing the expensive ankle boots.
\nIn her right hand she expertly carries a pistol.
\nShe enters the bank next door to the shoe shop ………<\/p>\n
