This time it\u2019s the city of Genova on the Ligurian coast that has been very badly hit by torrential rain and floods. Voi come<br \/>\nstate? Qui per ora va tutto bene, ma si vive nella paura.<br \/>\nUn abbraccio<br \/>\nSerena<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #646b86\">Ciao Adriana,<br \/>\nI&#8217;ve just seen the terrible images of Genova on the internet. How are you?<br \/>\nAt the moment everything is fine here, but one lives in fear.<br \/>\nA hug<br \/>\nSerena <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Here is Adriana\u2019s reply:<\/p>\n<p>Ciao Serena,<br \/>\nil mio ufficio rimane proprio nella zona alluvionata.<br \/>\nAlle 13 si \u00e8 iniziato a riempire di acqua il cortile interno del palazzo e<br \/>\nsiamo riusciti ad uscire da un appartamento che ha un accesso secondario, con<br \/>\nl&#8217;acqua alle ginocchia ho raggiunto la stazione di Genova Brignole e con un<br \/>\nautobus in un&#8217;ora ero a casa ma non avrei mai immaginato che la zona che avevo<br \/>\nlasciato si trasformasse in un fiume&#8230;<br \/>\n..e ora piove ancora, che disastro &#8230;<br \/>\nsiamo proprio tanto piccoli e fragili davanti a questi eventi &#8230;<br \/>\ngrazie del pensiero &#8230;<br \/>\nci sentiamo<br \/>\nUn abbraccio anche a voi&#8230;<br \/>\nAdriana<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #646b86\">Ciao Serena,<br \/>\nMy office is right in the middle of the flooded zone.<br \/>\nAt 13.00 the internal courtyard of the building began to fill with water and<br \/>\nwe managed to get out from an apartment that has a secondary access, with<br \/>\nwater up to my knees I arrived at Genova Brignole station and I got home an<br \/>\nhour later by bus, but I would never have imagined that the area that I left<br \/>\nwould become a river&#8230;<br \/>\n&#8230;and now it&#8217;s raining again, what a disaster&#8230;<br \/>\nwe are really so small and fragile in the face of these events&#8230;<br \/>\nthanks for thinking of me&#8230;<br \/>\nwe&#8217;ll be in touch<br \/>\nA hug to you two as well&#8230;<br \/>\nAdriana<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I don\u2019t want this to become the \u2018Italian Flood Blog\u2019, but the disastrous events which are taking place here at the moment are just too big to ignore.
