The artist&#8217;s performance took place in front of the Wahlenbergbreen glacier at Svalbard Islands (Norway) in support of Greenpeace\u2019s Arctic defence campaign.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Einaudi ha raggiunto il ghiacciaio a bordo della nave \u201cArctic Sunrise\u201d di Greenpeace, unendosi all\u2019appello firmato da quasi otto milioni di persone per chiedere alla comunit\u00e0 internazionale di sottoscrivere al pi\u00f9 presto un accordo che protegga l\u2019Artico dallo sfruttamento e dai cambiamenti climatici.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Einaudi reached the glacier on board Greenpeace\u2019s ship \u201cArctic Sunrise\u201d, in support of an appeal signed by almost eight million people asking the international community to undersign an agreement as soon as possible protecting the Arctic from exploitation and climate change.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>\u201cArrivare qui \u00e8 un\u2019esperienza incredibile. L\u2019Artico non \u00e8 un deserto ma un luogo pieno di vita. Ho potuto vedere con i miei occhi la purezza e la fragilit\u00e0 di quest\u2019area meravigliosa. The Arctic isn&#8217;t a desert but a place full of life. I\u2019ve been able to see with my own eyes the purity and fragility of this marvellous area, and to play one of my compositions, inspired by the beauty of the Arctic and the menaces which it suffers due to global warming.
