{"id":12992,"date":"2016-11-28T18:39:31","date_gmt":"2016-11-28T17:39:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/italian\/?p=12992"},"modified":"2016-11-28T18:39:31","modified_gmt":"2016-11-28T17:39:31","slug":"in-your-own-way","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/italian\/in-your-own-way\/","title":{"rendered":"In Your Own Way"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff\">If you\u2019ve ever seen Quentin Tarantino\u2019s film<\/span> <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"color: #000080;text-decoration: underline\"><a style=\"color: #000080;text-decoration: underline\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Django_Unchained\" target=\"_blank\">Django Unchained<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/strong> <span style=\"color: #3366ff\">you\u2019ll have heard the lovely voice of Italian singer songwriter <b>Elisa<\/b> performing the song <b>\u2018Ancora Qui\u2019<\/b> by Ennio Morricone.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"color: #000080;text-decoration: underline\"><a style=\"color: #000080;text-decoration: underline\" href=\"https:\/\/it.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Elisa_(cantante_italiana)\" target=\"_blank\">Elisa Toffoli<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/strong>, better known simply as Elisa, was born in Trieste in north-eastern Italy. Growing up in the border area of Monfalcone, (only 15 km from Slovenia and 120 km from Austria) she experienced various different languages and cultures from an early age. This was to influence her later creative development and ability to sing in multiple languages: she writes and sings many of her songs in English, but she has also sung in Spanish, French, Slovenian and Kurdish.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Elisa\u2019s moving single <b>\u2018A Modo<\/b> <strong>Tuo\u2019<\/strong>, the subject of this blog, was written by the famous Italian musician Luciano Ligabue.
