This is a fairly new festival, having been &#8216;imported&#8217; into Italy from America after the Second World War.<\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-GB\">I&#8217;ve found a very appropriate poem for the occasion by <span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #000080;\"><a style=\"color: #000080; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Edmondo_De_Amicis\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Edmondo De Amicis<\/strong><\/a><\/span> (1846-1908) for his mother.
