di + lo = dello<\/strong> e.g.:<\/font> il miele \u00e8 pi\u00f9 nutriente dello<\/font> zucchero<\/strong> (honey is more nutritious than [the]<\/em><\/font> sugar)<\/p>\n

di + la = della<\/strong> e.g.: il tavolo della<\/font> cucina \u00e8 troppo piccolo<\/strong> (the kitchen table is too small \u2013 literally: \u2018the table of the<\/font> kitchen is too small\u2019)<\/p>\n

in + la = nella <\/strong>e.g.: guarda nella<\/font> borsa! <\/strong>(look in\/inside<\/font> the<\/font> bag!)<\/p>\n
