I first saw him on a Wednesday, in October I think it was … or perhaps it was November. However, it was definitely a Wednesday, because it was market day in Pontremoli, and I was sitting atop my box in Piazza Italia wondering if today would be my lucky day.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sleeping in a cardboard box at night, sitting out in the cold on my market stall all day long, and being stared at and judged by passers was getting tedious. All I needed was for the right person to come along, someone able to recognize my value.<\/p>\n
