Here’s my English translation for Chapter 10<\/span><\/strong><\/a> of our detective story.<\/span><\/p>\n

Il furgone refrigeratore con a bordo l’uomo incappucciato, l’Ispettore Augusto e il Tenente Ciceri, si ferma ai piedi della scalinata d’ingresso di Villa Reale. Sulla veranda, ad aspettarli, c’\u00e8 un uomo che indossa un camice bianco.
\nThe refrigerated van, with the hooded man, Inspector Augusto and Lieutenant Ciceri on board, stops at the bottom of the flight of stairs that lead up to the Villa Reale. Awaiting them on the veranda is a man wearing a white lab coat.<\/em><\/p>\n

L’uomo incappucciato scende dal furgone e gli si avvicina. I due si scambiano qualche parola, e poi scendono i gradini e si avviano verso il retro del furgone. L’uomo incappucciato fa segno al Tenente Ciceri, che \u00e8 alla guida vestito in borghese, di andare ad aprire il portellone. Mentre i tre sono sul retro, l’Ispettore Augusto scende silenziosamente dal furgone, con la pistola in pugno si porta cautamente dietro all’uomo in camice e lo arresta.
\nThe hooded man gets out of the van and goes over to him. The two exchange a few words, then come down the stairs and set off towards the rear of the van. The hooded man signals to Lieutenant Ciceri, in the driver’s seat dressed in civvies, to go and open the tailgate. Whilst the three of them are round the back, Inspector Augusto quietly gets out of the van and, pistol in hand, carefully moves up behind the man in the lab coat and arrests him.<\/em><\/p>\n

L’uomo in camice bianco protesta: “Ma che diavolo succede? Cosa state facendo? Non potete trattarmi cos\u00ec! Io sono Franco Sasso, chirurgo di fama mondiale nella ricerca dei trapianti e ricostruzione di parti corporee!”
\nThe man in the white lab coat protests: “What the devil’s going on? What are you doing? You can’t treat me like this! I’m the world famous surgeon Franco Sasso, known for my research into transplants and bodily reconstruction!<\/em><\/p>\n

Ispettore Augusto: “Dottor Franco Sasso … questo nome mi \u00e8 famigliare … non \u00e8 quello che era stato radiato dall’albo dei medici per le sue ricerche non professionalmente corrette?”
\n Inspector Augusto<\/em>: “Doctor Franco Sasso … that name sounds familiar to me … is it not you who was struck off the medical register due to your unprofessional research?”<\/em><\/p>\n

Dott. Franco Sasso, in tono arrogante: “Sono stato radiato perch\u00e9 i miei colleghi sono dei vigliacchi che non hanno la visione delle possibilit\u00e0 che le tecnologie di oggi ci offrono. Io sono sempre alla ricerca di nuovi confini da esplorare, come ora, qui alla villa!”
\nDoctor Franco Sasso, with an arrogant tone of voice: “I was struck off because my colleagues are cowards who lack vision of the possibilities that technology offers us today. I’m always exploring new boundaries, as right now, here at the villa!”<\/em><\/p>\n

Ispettore Augusto: “Allora facci vedere quello che stai facendo”, e cos\u00ec dicendo spinge il Dott. Sasso su per la scala e dentro alla villa.
\n Inspector Augusto: “Then let’s see what you’re doing”, and so saying he pushes Doctors Sasso up the stairs and into the villa.<\/em><\/p>\n

La veranda si apre su un salone d’ingresso riccamente ammobiliato. Da qui i tre attraversano una serie di corridoi e saloni, tutti arredati con mobili antichi, tappeti persiani, lampadari di vetro di Murano, tende di broccato, e alle pareti tantissimi quadri di artisti famosi.
\nThe veranda leads into a richly furnished entrance hall. From here the three cross a series of corridors and salons, each decorated with antique furniture, Persian carpets, Venetian glass chandeliers, brocade curtains, and with many paintings by famous artists upon the walls.<\/em><\/p>\n

Finalmente il Dott. Sasso si ferma davanti ad una porta chiusa a due battenti e, dopo un attimo di pausa per creare l’atmosfera, la apre: “Ecco!” annuncia con aria trionfante.
\nFinally, Doctor Sasso stops in front of some closed double doors and, after a moment’s pause to create the right atmosphere, opens them: “There!” He announces triumphantly.<\/em><\/p>\n

In fondo alla camera c’\u00e8 un grande letto d’ospedale circondato da numerosi macchinari medici. L’Ispettore Augusto e il Tenente Ciceri, guidati dal Dott. Sasso, si avvicinano al letto su cui giace una figura parzialmente ricoperta di bende bianche e attaccata ai macchinari medici da tutta una serie di sonde.
\nAt the end of the room is a large hospital bed surrounded by numerous pieces of medical equipment. Led by Doctor Sasso, Inspector Augusto and Lieutenant Ciceri draw closer to the bed, upon which lies a figure partially covered by white bandages and hooked up to the medical apparatus by a series of probes.<\/em><\/p>\n

E’ una strana creatura quella che si presenta ai loro occhi: il viso \u00e8 bellissimo, giovane, di una ragazza di circa 25 anni, cos\u00ec come le braccia, ma le spalle e ci\u00f2 che \u00e8 visibile del tronco sono molto sciupati, sembrano pi\u00f9 vecchi, con segni di bruciature.
\nThat which lies before their eyes is a strange creature: the beautiful young face is that of a girl of around 25 years of age, as are the arms. But the shoulders, and that which is visible of the torso, are badly ruined, they seem older, and have signs of burns.<\/em><\/p>\n

Augusto e Ciceri si avvicinano ancora di pi\u00f9 alla paziente. Sulle braccia, all’altezza delle ascelle, si vedono due cicatrici, come delle cuciture. Con un misto di incredulit\u00e0 e di illuminazione, i due si scambiano uno sguardo d’intesa: “Frankenstein!” mormorano all’unisono …
\nAugusto and Ciceri move closer to the patient. On the arms, at the level of the armpits, one can see two scars, like seams. With a mixture of incredulity and illumination the two exchange a glance of comprehension: “Frankenstien!” they murmur in unison …<\/em><\/p>\n
