Here’s my English translation for part 1 of Serena’s story: <\/span>Il Dottore Delle Bambole<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Questa \u00e8 la storia di una classica famiglia: mamma, pap\u00e0 e la figlioletta Gisella di otto anni.
\nThis is the story of a typical family: mum, dad, and their eight year old daughter Gisella.<\/em><\/p>\n

La bambina \u00e8 molto intelligente e tranquilla, a scuola \u00e8 brava, e a casa spende ore nella propria cameretta a giocare con le bambole. Quando il pap\u00e0 torna a casa la sera, lei gli corre incontro festosa, a mostrargli quello che ha fatto durante il pomeriggio: il nuovo vestitino per una bambola, le treccioline ai capelli di un’altra, i quadernini per la scuola delle bambole, e cos\u00ec via.
\nThe girl is very quiet and intelligent, she does well at school, and at home she spends hours in her room playing with her dolls. When her dad comes home in the evening, she runs to him joyfully to show him what she’s been doing during the afternoon: the new little dress for a doll, the plaited hair of another, the small exercise books for the dolls school, and so on.<\/em><\/p>\n

Alcuni mesi fa, per\u00f2, sono cominciati i primi incidenti: ogni volta che il pap\u00e0 rientrava dal lavoro, Gisella lo aspettava con una bambola in mano a cui si era staccato un braccio, o una gamba o la testa. \nSome months ago, however, the first incidents began: every time that dad came home from work, Gisella was waiting for him with a doll in her hand which had an arm, a leg, or its head detached. And he would patiently fix it, then, giving it back to her, say: “It’s lucky that your dad is a clever doctor, isn’t it Gisella? Tomorrow try to be a bit less clumsy.” “It’s not me that’s clumsy”, his daughter responded resentfully, “They are the clumsy ones … they fall from their chair or from their pushchair and hurt themselves!”<\/em><\/p>\n

Ma recentemente le cose sono peggiorate. \nBut recently things have got worse. As soon as dad arrives, she runs towards him anxiously and, taking him by the hand, drags him towards her room: “Dad, dad, thank goodness you’re back! The dolls need a doctor! There’s been a terrible accident and now they’re all in pieces! Come quickly or they’ll die!”<\/em><\/p>\n

Il pap\u00e0 entra nella camera dove il pavimento \u00e8 coperto di bambole smembrate: un braccio da una parte, un altro da un’altra, qui una gamba, l\u00ec un’altra, il tronco senza testa, e cos\u00ec via. “Ancora?” sospira il pap\u00e0. “Perch\u00e9 fai questo alle tue bambole? Non ti piacciono pi\u00f9, Gisella?”, chiede il padre preoccupato.
\nDad goes into the room where the floor is covered with dismembered dolls: an arm to one side, another to another side, here a leg, there another, the trunk without a head, and so on. “Again?” sighs dad. “Why do you do this to your dolls? Don’t you like them anymore Gisella?” her dad asks her concernedly.<\/em><\/p>\n

La bambina lo guarda seria: “No, le bambole mi piacciono, ma succedono dei brutti incidenti … vengono investite dalle macchine mentre vanno a scuola, finiscono sotto al treno mentre attraversano il passaggio a livello, e altre cose terribili. Io non ci posso fare niente.”
\nThe little girl looks at him seriously: “No, I like my dolls, but horrible accidents happen … they get hit by cars whilst they’re going to school, they end up under the train when they’re going over the level crossing, and other terrible things. I can’t do anything about it.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Dopo aver aggiustato le bambole, il pap\u00e0 va in cucina dove la moglie sta finendo di preparare la cena. “Gisella mi preoccupa. Perch\u00e9 non riesce pi\u00f9 a giocare con le bambole in modo positivo? Perch\u00e9 deve sempre creare questi scenari di disastri?”
\nHaving fixed the dolls, dad goes into the kitchen where his wife is finishing preparing dinner. “Gisella worries me. Why can’t she play with her dolls nicely anymore? Why must she always create these disaster scenes?”<\/em><\/p>\n

“Penso che sia a causa di quel terribile incidente a cui ha assistito, sai, l’incidente dello scuolabus. Vedrai che presto le passer\u00e0”, lo rassicura la moglie.
\n“I think it’s because of that terrible accident that she saw, you know, the accident with the school bus. It’ll soon pass, you’ll see”, his wife reassures him.<\/em><\/p>\n
