Ci sono due modi per dire \u201cI love you\u201d in italiano, per\u00f2 il significato non \u00e8 lo stesso. Oggi, vediamo tutti e due, e anche qualche altra espressione.<\/p>\n

There are two\u00a0ways to say “I love you” in\u00a0Italian, however the meaning is not quite the same. Today, we are going to look at both ways, as well as some other expressions.<\/i><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/u><\/strong>Ti voglio bene<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Letteralmente, quest\u2019espressione vuol dire \u201cI want you well.\u201d \u00c8 un modo di dire \u201cI love you\u201d agli amici e alla famiglia. Una volta, un professore d\u2019italiano mi ha detto che ha un sentimento pi\u00f9 forte che \u201cti amo\u201d in un senso romantico, ma questo non \u00e8 vero! (Si, ho litigato con lui un po\u2019 perch\u00e9 sono fatta cosi\u2026 per\u00f2 lui era convinto. Vabb\u00e8,\u00a0<\/em>ho provato.) Non \u00e8 romantico, ma platonico. Si possono sentire i ragazzi o le coppie non ancora serie usare quest\u2019espressione, ma nel momento in cui qualcuno utilizza l\u2019espressione seguente, si capisce che il rapporto \u00e8 pi\u00f9 serio. Vediamo in quali altri modi si pu\u00f2 usare quest\u2019espressione:<\/p>\n

Literally, this\u00a0expression\u00a0means “I want you well.” It is a way to say “I love you” to friends and\u00a0family. One time, an Italian professor told me that it had a stronger meaning than “I love you” in a romantic sense, but this is not true! (Yes, I fought with him a bit about it\u00a0because I am just like that… but he was convinced. Whatever, I tried.) It is not romantic, but platonic. You can hear teenagers or couples not yet serious use this expression, but the moment someone uses the following expression, you understand the relationship is more serious. Questa traduzione \u00e8 pi\u00f9 facile, significa \u201cI love you\u201d in un modo pi\u00f9 tradizionale, e da’ un significato romantico in una coppia. Non si usa quest\u2019espressione in famiglia o tra amici.<\/p>\n

This translation is easier, it means “I love you” in a more traditional sense, or romantically between a couple. You do not use this expression between friends and family.<\/em><\/p>\n

Quest\u2019espressione vuol dire \u201cI care about you.\u201d Non posso dimenticare il primo momento in cui l\u2019ho sentito, durante una discussione con un ragazzo. Non ho capito che cosa volesse dire, e non ero di buon umore e non mi interessava avere nessuna lezione d\u2019italiano in quel momento. I didn’t understand what it meant, and I\u00a0wasn’t in a good mood or even interested by an Italian lesson at that moment.
