E\u2019 la regione che sento pi\u00f9 mia, perch\u00e9 il mio sangue \u00e8 anche siciliano.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is the region that I feel closest to, because my blood is also Sicilian.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

I miei parenti vengono proprio da questa regione, selvaggia, generosa, architettonicamente bellissima.<\/span><\/p>\n

My relatives come from this region, savage, generous, architecturally beautiful.<\/em><\/p>\n

Le citt\u00e0 che ho visitato sono Palermo, Catania, Agrigento, e Caltanisetta (citt\u00e0 gemellata con la mia Rochester).<\/span><\/p>\n

The cities that I have visited are Palermo, Catania, Agrigento, and Caltanisetta (twin city with my hometown of Rochester).<\/em><\/p>\n

L\u2019idea che un americano ha quando pensa alla Sicilia \u00e8 generalmente il film \u201cThe Godfather\u201d, ma questo \u00e8 pi\u00f9 che altro uno stereotipo non vero.<\/span><\/p>\n

The idea that an American has when thinking about Sicily is generally from the film “The Godfather”, but this is more often than not an untrue stereotype.<\/em><\/p>\n

I siciliani sono\u2026solari, calorosi, come i loro buonissimi limoni.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sicilians are… sunny, warm, like their delicious lemons.<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Non potete veramente dire di aver assaggiato il sapore di un vero limone, o di un\u2019arancia, se non avete provato almeno una volta nella vita questo tipo di frutto siciliano.<\/span><\/p>\n

You cannot really say to have tried the flavor of a real lemon, or of an orange, if you have not at least tried once in your life this type of Sicilian fruit.<\/em><\/p>\n

Eh mamma mia! Il cibo siciliano \u00e8 il pi\u00f9 buono in Italia! Carne (a Catania \u00e8 buonissimo il cavallo), pesce, cous-cous, i primi (quanto amo la pasta alla norma e poi i dolci\u2026 il famosissimo cannolo siciliano e la cassata sono assolutamente incredibili.<\/span><\/p>\n

And oh my goodness! Sicilian food is the best in Italy! Meat (in Catania, horse is very good), fish, cous-cous, first courses, how much I love pasta alla norma and then the desserts… the famous Sicilian cannoli and the cassata are absolutely incredible.<\/em><\/p>\n

Ma non c\u2019\u00e8 solo il cibo…<\/span><\/p>\n

But there is not just food…<\/em><\/p>\n

La Sicilia \u00e8 la meta ideale anche per chi vuole andare in vacanza al mare (e pazienza se il costume vi andr\u00e0 un po\u2019 stretto visto che avrete esagerato con il mangiare…)<\/span><\/p>\n

Sicily is also the ideal destination for those who want to vacation at the beach (and patience if your bathing suit is a bit tight seeing as you will have exaggerated with the food…)<\/em><\/p>\n

Questa \u00e8 la vera Sicilia!\u00a0<\/span>Andateci e godetevela!!!<\/span><\/p>\n

This is the real Sicily! Go there and enjoy it!<\/em><\/p>\n
