Sono sempre alla ricerca di opportunit\u00e0 per ascoltare quella bella lingua<\/span> c<\/span>he \u00e8 l\u2019italiano. Quindi, qualche notte fa, ho fatto una ricerca su\u00a0<\/span>Netflix per qualche film in italiano. Voglio consigliarvene uno: Suburra.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I am always on the look out for opportunities to listen to that beautiful language that is\u00a0Italian. Therefore, a few nights ago, I looked on\u00a0Netflix for some movies in Italian. I want to\u00a0recommend one to all of you: Suburra.\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

\u00c8 un film un po\u2019 violento, devo dirvelo! Non guardatelo se non vi piacciono i film violenti. \u00c8 un film <\/span>r<\/span>ealistico sulla corruzione politica, la religione, e la mafia – e a quanto pare \u00e8 anche ispirato a una storia vera accaduta a Roma nel 2011.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is a bit of a violent film, I have to tell you! Don’t watch it if you don’t like violent movies. It is a realistic movie about political corruption, religion, and the mafia – and it seems as if it is also inspired by a real story that happened in Rome in 2011.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Il film segue diverse storie che s\u2019intrecciano alla fine, dopo una svolta che non vi spoilero! Credo che ci sia anche una serie<\/span> televisiva chiamata \u201cSuburra: Blood on Rome\u201d, in cui racconta la storia che precede il film. Non vedo l\u2019ora di guardarlo!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The film follows different stories that intersect at the end, after a twist that I will not spoil for you! I believe that there is also a TV series called “Suburra:\u00a0Blood on Rome”,\u00a0which tells the story that precedes the\u00a0film. I can’t wait to watch it!\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

Forse in questo momento state pensando: \u201cCosa vuol dire Suburra? Perch\u00e9 hanno scelto questo nome strano?\u201d. Ho pensato la stessa cosa…! Suburra \u00e8 il nome di una zona periferica dell\u2019antica Roma! Interessante, adesso voglio ricercare i diversi nomi delle zone periferiche dell\u2019antica Roma\u2026\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Maybe in this moment you are all thinking: “What does Suburra mean? Why did they choose such a strange name?”. I thought the same thing…! Suburra is the name of a suburb in Ancient Rome! Interesting, now I want to look up all the different names of suburbs in\u00a0Ancient Rome…\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n
