Come in inglese, ci sono degli errori comuni che gli italiani fanno spesso. Il congiuntivo, “a me mi piace”, e pronomi, sono alcuni di essi. Vediamoli in dettaglio.<\/span><\/p>\n

As in English, there are some common errors that Italians often make. The subjunctive, “It is liking to me I like” and pronouns are a few of these. Let’s look at them in more detail.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Il congiuntivo\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Il congiuntivo \u00e8 un modo verbale che gli italiani non usano sempre correttamente. Si usa il congiuntivo per esprimere dubbi, speranze, paure, bisogni, o opinioni. Ci sono delle espressioni dov\u2019\u00e8 necessario utilizzare il congiuntivo, per esempio;<\/span><\/p>\n

The subjunctive is a mood that Italians don’t always use correctly. The subjunctive is used to express doubts, hopes, fears, needs, or opinions. There are some expressions where it is necessary to use the subjunctive, for example;\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Impersonal forms = Forme impersonali<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00c8 necessario che\u2026 = It is necessary that…<\/span><\/p>\n

Bisogna che\/C\u2019\u00e8 bisogno che… = There is a need that…<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00c8 importante che\u2026= It is important that…<\/span><\/p>\n

Spero che… = I hope that…<\/span><\/p>\n

Le frasi con… = Sentences with…<\/strong><\/p>\n

Affinch\u00e9 \u00a0= so that\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A meno che = unless<\/span><\/p>\n

Tranne che = except that<\/span><\/p>\n

Sebbene = even though<\/p>\n

Bench\u00e9 = although<\/p>\n

Nonostante = notwithstanding<\/p>\n

Malgrado = despite<\/p>\n

Examples of the subjunctive:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sebbene abbiano<\/strong> divorziato, parlano ancora molto spesso.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Even though they had divorced, they still speak often.<\/em><\/p>\n

Spero che tu abbia<\/strong> una buona giornata.<\/p>\n

I hope that you have a good day.<\/em><\/p>\n

Sono contenta che lei sia <\/strong>a casa.<\/p>\n

I am happy that she is at home.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cA me mi piace\u201d…<\/strong><\/p>\n

Si pu\u00f2 dire \u201cmi piace\u201d, o \u201ca me piace…\u201d, ma non \u201ca me mi piace\u201d!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

One can say “I like” or “It is liking to me..” but not “It is liking to me I like”!\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

A me piace<\/strong> la torta. (Correct)<\/p>\n

Mi piace<\/strong> la torta. (Correct)<\/p>\n

A me mi piace<\/strong> la torta. (Wrong – and very common.)<\/p>\n

Pronomi personali femminile\/maschili – gli\/le\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

In italiano, bisogna usare \u201cgli\u201d per parlare al maschile e \u201cle\u201d per parlare al femminile. Per esempio:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In Italian, you need to use “gli” to talk about masculine and “le” to talk about feminine. For example:<\/em><\/p>\n

Hai parlato a Giorgia<\/strong>?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Si, le<\/strong> ho parlato. (Correct)<\/span><\/p>\n

Mentre un errore comune \u00e8 utilizzare \u201cgli\u201d sia al maschile che al femminile.<\/span><\/p>\n

While a common error is to use “gli” in both the masculine and feminine form.<\/em><\/p>\n

S\u00ec, gli<\/strong> ho parlato. (Wrong- this can be translated as I spoke to him.<\/strong>)<\/span><\/p>\n

Pronomi personali al singolare\/plurale – gli\/loro<\/strong><\/p>\n

In italiano, bisogna usare \u201cloro\u201d per parlare al plurale e \u201cgli\u201d per parlare al singolare. Per esempio:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In Italian, you must use “loro” (after the verb!) to talk in the plural and “gli” for singular. For example:<\/em><\/p>\n

Hai visto i tuoi nonni<\/strong>?<\/span><\/p>\n

No, non li ho visti, ma ho parlato loro (plurale)<\/strong> mercoled\u00ec. (Correct)<\/span><\/p>\n

Hai visto i tuoi nonni<\/strong>?<\/span><\/p>\n

No, non li ho visti, ma gli (singolare)<\/strong> ho parlato mercoled\u00ec. (Wrong – i nonni is plural, therefore loro must be used after the verb. If not, the sentence reads as: No, I have not seen them, but I have talked to him\/her Wednesday.)\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

C\u2019\u00e8\/ce<\/strong><\/p>\n

C\u2019\u00e8 = verbo (verb that means there is)<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Ce = particella pronominale (pronoun – from ci)<\/em>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ce l’ho = I have it<\/strong><\/p>\n

C\u2019\u00e8 un ragazzo qui = There is a boy here<\/strong><\/p>\n

Quindi, non preoccupatevi per gli errori grammaticali perch\u00e9 gli italiani sono i primi a farli!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
