Hi everyone, did you all have a good Easter?<\/em><\/p>\n

Spero di s\u00ec! Io mi sono comportata da perfetta italiana, perch\u00e9 ho mangiato molto, ma tutto da sola, ovviamente.<\/span><\/p>\n

I hope so! I\u00a0behaved like a perfect Italian, because I ate a lot, but alone\u00a0obviously.\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

Oggi svesto i panni da scrittrice di blog e assumo quelli di giornalista, facendo tre domande ad un mio amico italiano, Giovanni, chiedendogli alcune curiosit\u00e0 sull\u2019Italia e sulla differenza di cultura con l’America.<\/span><\/p>\n

Today\u00a0I’m taking off the gloves of a blogger and I’m assuming the role of a journalist, posing three questions to an Italian friend,\u00a0Giovanni, asking him some curiosities about Italy and about the cultural differences with America.<\/i><\/p>\n

B: Ciao Giovanni, innanzitutto come stai? Come procede la tua quarantena?<\/span><\/p>\n

B: Hi Giovanni, first of all how are you? How is your quarantine going?<\/i><\/p>\n

G: Ciao Bridgette, che piacere sentirti! Io tutto bene, procede alla grande nel senso che sia io che i miei familiari stiamo bene, anche se il clima che si respira \u00e8 surreale. Sto continuando a lavorare in smart working e nel tempo libero leggo molto. Soprattutto ho molto tempo per cucinare ricette nuove. Qui in particolare mi piace sperimentare, e uso la mia ragazza che sta facendo la quarantena con me come cavia. Per\u00f2 \u00e8 soddisfatta, quindi vuol dire che tutto sommato sono un buon chef.<\/span><\/p>\n

G:<\/em> Hi Bridgette, what a pleasure to hear from you!\u00a0Everything with me is alright, it’s going great in the sense that both me and my family are doing well, even if the current atmosphere that\u00a0we’re living through is surreal. I am still working from home and in my free time I read a lot. Above all, I have a lot of time to\u00a0cook new recipes. I really like to\u00a0experiment, and I use my girlfriend who is quarantining with me as a\u00a0guinea pig. But she is satisfied, so that means all in all I am a good\u00a0chef.\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

B: Bene, mi fa piacere! Come ti avevo anticipato ti ho mandato un messaggio per farti tre domande. La prima \u00e8 questa: qual \u00e8 la cosa che ti ha impressionato di pi\u00f9 in USA, che in Italia non avete?<\/span><\/p>\n

B: Good, I’m glad! As I had told you, I have messaged you to ask you three questions. The first is this: what is it that stuck out to you most about the USA, that in Italy you don’t see?<\/em><\/p>\n

G: Mmm, bella domanda. Beh forse la mia risposta \u00e8 banale, ma te la dico lo stesso. Le misure infatti da voi sono impressionanti. E\u2019 tutto molto pi\u00f9 grande. Dalle strade, agli edifici, e soprattutto il cibo. Ricordo quando mi hai portato a fare colazione quando sono stato ospite da te! Cavolo, \u00e8 arrivato cibo per tipo 8 persone, ma eravamo solo in tre. Pazzesco! E poi il burro di arachidi! E\u2019 il paradiso.<\/span><\/p>\n

G: Mmm, good question. Well maybe my answer is trivial, but I will tell you anyways. The sizes of things for you all are impressive. It is all much bigger. From the\u00a0streets, to the buildings, and above all the food. I remember when you brought me to breakfast when I was a guest with\u00a0you! Dang, the food that came out was for around 8 people, but we were only 3. Crazy! And then the peanut butter! It is paradise.\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

B: S\u00ec, concordo su questo. Da noi diciamo che c\u2019\u00e8 la quantit\u00e0 mentre voi puntate pi\u00f9 sulla qualit\u00e0. Io scelgo la\u00a0qualit\u00e0!<\/span><\/p>\n

B: Yes, I agree with that. Here we say that there is quantity while you all focus more on quality. I choose quality!\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n
