“Cercheremo tracce di vita su Marte e il rover Perseverance sar\u00e0 capace di cercare queste ‘tracce’. Il mio ruolo sar\u00e0 aiutare nell’interpretazione dei dati degli strumenti a bordo del rover e di comprendere se ci sono i ‘segnali’ di vita. Non ci aspettiamo che la vita si sia evoluta su Marte ma che ci siano stati microrganismi unicellulari potrebbe essere e noi ci aspettiamo di trovare queste tracce,” dice Fornaro.<\/em><\/p>\n“We will search for traces of life on Mars and the Perseverance rover will be able to search for these ‘traces’. My role will be to help in the interpretation of the data of the instruments on board the rover and to understand if there are ‘signs’ of life. We do not expect life to have evolved on Mars but that there could have been single-celled microorganisms and we expect to find these traces,” says Fornaro.<\/p>\n
I dati inviati da Perseverance nella fase di atterraggio sono stati monitorati anche dal Sardinia Deep Space Antenna (Sdsa), l\u2019unit\u00e0 scientifica dell\u2019Agenzia Spaziale Italiana, situata nella localit\u00e0 di San Basilio, in provincia di Cagliari.<\/em><\/p>\nThe data sent by Perseverance during the landing phase was also monitored by the Sardinia Deep Space Antenna (SDSA), the scientific unit of the Italian Space Agency, located in the town of San Basilio, in the province of Cagliari.<\/p>\n
