By\u00a0seasonal I don&#8217;t mean Christmas, we are fortunate enough to escape\u00a0the pre-Christmas frenzy where we live!<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: x-small;font-family: Verdana\">Here in\u00a0the wintery hills of Lunigiana it\u2019s business as usual for the <strong>contadini<\/strong> (peasant farmers), for there is still important work to be done on the land. Below are a couple of photos which\u00a0I took\u00a0just outside our village. The question is, what is the purpose of the nets and sticks that you see in the photos?
