I don’t usually spend much time reading the news. We all know that bad things happen, but if we are to believe the media, the world is a pretty evil and dangerous place. I’ve never understood this obsession with brutte<\/strong> notizie <\/strong>(bad news), and when I pick up a giornale <\/strong>(newspaper), or read the news on the Internet, I like the challenge of finding buone notizie <\/strong>(good news). Eccone una: <\/strong>(here’s an example), extracted from the newspaper ‘La Stampa’<\/strong>:<\/font><\/p>\n

His doctor, Marco di Giuseppe, a member of the Societ\u00e0 Italiana Veterinaria per Animali Esotici <\/strong>(Italian Veterinary Society for Exotic Animals)  <\/strong>has been following Masai’s case since the young lion was three months old. However, all requests for help from his international colleagues had been met with the depressing reply …<\/font><\/p>\n

Technically the operation was a success, but the future is a bit of a gamble.
