So I\u2019m going to make amends, beginning today with <strong>il condizionale presente<\/strong> (the present conditional). But first let\u2019s have a look at how we conjugate it:<\/p>\n<div align=\"justify\">\n<table border=\"1\" cellspacing=\"4\" cellpadding=\"4\" width=\"535\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"261\"><strong><font color=\"#000040\" size=\"3\">Coniugazione del verbo essere:<\/font><\/strong><\/td>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"260\"><font color=\"#000040\" size=\"3\">Conjugation of the verb to be:<\/font><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"261\"><strong><font color=\"#000040\" size=\"3\">io sarei                <br \/>tu saresti                 <br \/>lui\/lei sarebbe                 <br \/>noi saremmo                 <br \/>voi sareste                 <br \/>loro sarebbero<\/font><\/strong><\/td>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"263\"><font color=\"#000040\" size=\"3\">I would be              <br \/>you would be (singular, informal)               <br \/>he\/she would be               <br \/>we would be               <br \/>you would be (plural)               <br \/>they would be<\/font><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table><\/div>\n<p align=\"justify\"><font color=\"#666666\" size=\"4\">The present conditional is used:<\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><font color=\"#4f81bd\"><font size=\"4\"><strong>1.<\/strong> to politely express a wish or a request:<\/font>       <br \/><\/font><strong><u>vorrei<\/u> un bicchiere d\u2019acqua, per piacere<\/strong> = <u>I would like<\/u> a glass of water, please     <br \/><strong>mi <u>potresti<\/u> prestare una penna?<\/strong> = <u>could you<\/u> lend me a pen?     <br \/><strong>scusi, <u>saprebbe<\/u> dirmi dov\u2019\u00e8 Piazza del Duomo?<\/strong> = excuse me, could you tell me where Piazza del Duomo is?
