However, quite a few famous Italians were born in July. Here is a selection:<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong>Francesco Petrarca<\/strong>, poet and writer, born in Arezzo on the 20th of July 1304<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong>Giuseppe Garibaldi<\/strong>, patriot and general, born in Nizza (Nice) on the 4th of July 1807<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong>Amedeo Modigliani<\/strong>, artist, born in Livorno on the<strong> <\/strong>12th of July 1884<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong>Giorgio de Chirico<\/strong>, artist, born in\u00a0 Volos (Greece) on the 10th of July 1888<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong>Vittorio De Sica<\/strong>, actor and director, born in Sora on the 7th of July 1901<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong>Gina Lollobrigida<\/strong>, actress, born in Subiaco on the 4th of July 1927<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Detti di l<span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>uglio<\/strong><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>(July Sayings):<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong>Seminalo a luglio, se vuoi un buon rapuglio <\/strong>(Sow it in July, if you want a good \u2018rapuglio\u2019). This is a popular proverb, but nobody seems to know the meaning of \u2018rapuglio\u2019. It isn\u2019t even listed in my<strong> Vocabolario della Lingua Italiana Treccani<\/strong>.
