Here\u2019s the third part of our \u2018Helpful Labels\u2019 series: la camera da letto<\/strong> (the bedroom), more commonly known as la camera<\/strong> (the room). The idea behind our \u2018Helpful Labels\u2019 series is that you choose some of the phrases below to make labels which can then be strategically placed around your bedroom. These labels should be positioned so that you see them every time you carry out the appropriate action in order to help you create a lasting link between the vocabulary and the action.
In some cases you may find it useful to group certain phrases together into a longer list which you can place where you\u2019ll see it every day. E.g.: sono sdraiato\/a<\/strong><\/font> = I\u2019m lying down<\/font><\/font>, mi sveglio<\/font><\/strong> = I\u2019m waking up, and <\/font>mi alzo<\/font><\/strong><\/font> = I\u2019m getting up<\/font>, are probably better grouped together as a list to leave next to the bed.<\/font><\/font> Fidatevi, funziona!<\/strong><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>vado in camera<\/font><\/strong> = I\u2019m going into the bedroom (e.g. place this next to the entrance to your bedroom if possible)<\/font><\/em><\/font><\/p>\n

esco dalla camera<\/font><\/strong> = I\u2019m leaving the bedroom<\/font><\/p>\n

vado a letto<\/font><\/strong> = I\u2019m going to bed <\/font><\/p>\n

vado a dormire<\/font><\/strong> = I\u2019m going to sleep<\/font><\/p>\n

vado a riposarmi<\/font><\/strong> = I\u2019m going to have a rest<\/font><\/p>\n

vado a stendermi per un pochino<\/font><\/strong> = I\u2019m going to lie down for  bit<\/font><\/p>\n

vado a fare un riposino\/una pennichella<\/font><\/strong> = I\u2019m going to take a nap<\/font><\/p>\n

vado a sdraiarmi<\/strong> <\/font>= I\u2019m going to lie down<\/font><\/p>\n

sono sdraiato\/a<\/font><\/strong> = I\u2019m lying down<\/font><\/p>\n

mi sveglio<\/font><\/strong> = I\u2019m waking up<\/font><\/p>\n

mi alzo<\/font><\/strong> = I\u2019m getting up<\/font><\/p>\n

mi vesto<\/font><\/strong> = I\u2019m getting dressed<\/font><\/p>\n

mi cambio<\/font><\/strong> = I\u2019m getting changed<\/font><\/p>\n

mi metto il pigiama\/la camicia da notte<\/font><\/strong> = I\u2019m putting my pyjamas\/nightgown on<\/font><\/p>\n
