Every New Year\u2019s Day when I was a child my parents made me and my brothers write i buoni propositi per l\u2019anno nuovo<\/strong> (our New Year\u2019s resolutions). My buoni propositi<\/strong> were always the same, seeing that I had failed miserably to stick to them during the previous year:<\/p>\n

1. prometto che sar\u00f2 pi\u00f9 ubbidiente e non far\u00f2 pi\u00f9 arrabbiare mamma e pap\u00e0<\/strong> (I promise I\u2019ll be more obedient and won\u2019t upset mum and dad anymore)
2. prometto che non far\u00f2 pi\u00f9 i dispetti ai miei fratelli <\/strong>(I promise I won\u2019t tease my brothers anymore)
3. prometto che far\u00f2 sempre i compiti<\/strong> (I promise I\u2019ll always do my homework)<\/p>\n

Well, this year I\u2019ve decided that I\u2019m going to revive the tradition for the whole household. So, let\u2019s start with my personal buoni propositi<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

Serena<\/strong>:
1. prometto che non far\u00f2 pi\u00f9 arrabbiare Geoff<\/strong> (I promise I won\u2019t upset Geoff anymore)
2. prometto che sar\u00f2 pi\u00f9 ordinata<\/strong> (I promise I\u2019ll be more tidy)
3. prometto che scriver\u00f2 gli articoli per il blog all\u2019inizio della settimana, non all\u2019ultimo minuto<\/strong> (I promise I\u2019ll write the articles for the blog at the beginning of the week instead of at the last minute)<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

Mim\u00ec: prometto che non andr\u00f2 pi\u00f9 a nascondermi nell\u2019armadio fra le borse di Serena<\/strong> (I promise I won\u2019t go and hide in the wardrobe amongst Serena\u2019s bags anymore)<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

Coc\u00f2: prometto che mi metter\u00f2 a dieta e non strapper\u00f2 pi\u00f9 i sacchi dei croccantini per mangiarli<\/strong> (I promise I\u2019ll go on a diet and won\u2019t tear open the bags of cat biscuits and eat the contents anymore)<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

Jenny: prometto che non salter\u00f2 pi\u00f9 in braccio a Serena ogni volta che si siede al computer a lavorare<\/strong> (I promise I won\u2019t jump on Serena\u2019s lap anymore every time she sits down to work at the computer)<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

Smokie: prometto che lascer\u00f2 pranzare Geoff e Serena in santa pace senza aggrapparmi alle loro gambe per avere del formaggio<\/strong> (I promise I\u2019ll let Geoff and Serena have their lunch in peace without holding onto their legs to get some cheese)<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

Gigia: prometto che non sveglier\u00f2 pi\u00f9 Geoff e Serena durante la notte picchiando gentilmente sulle loro spalle solo perch\u00e9 voglio la loro compagnia mentre mangio<\/strong> (I promise I won\u2019t wake up Geoff and Serena in the middle of the night anymore by tapping gently on their shoulders just because I want their company while I\u2019m eating)<\/font><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n
