New tourist dress code regulations (<strong>Regolamentazione dell\u2019Abbigliamento Turistico<\/strong>), which come into effect at the beginning of April 2015, could mean that many visitors to <strong>il Bel Paese<\/strong> will be in for a nasty, and expensive surprise if they don\u2019t pay careful attention to what they wear in public. The following article, taken from yesterday\u2019s edition of <strong>La Corriera Nazionale<\/strong> newspaper explains the situation in more detail:<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;font-size: large\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Multe Salate Per Chi Non Fa Bella Figura!<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: Calibri\">Questa in breve \u00e8 la sorpresa che aspetta molti turisti. Dopo anni di proteste da parte di numerosi cittadini privati, delle Associazioni Pro Loco, e di associazioni nazionali che salvaguardano i Beni Storici e Artistici come Italia Nostra e il Touring Club d\u2019Italia, \u00e8 finalmente passata la legge che tutela il decoro delle Citt\u00e0 d\u2019Arte italiane dall\u2019invasione di milioni di turisti malvestiti. I look colpevoli comprendono: shorts abbinati a sandali e calze, calzoni abbassati che rivelano l\u2019abbigliamento intimo, calzoni larghi tipo cargo a mezzo polpaccio, ampi cappelli sformati, cappelli da baseball indossati alla rovescia, e altri copricapi di cattivo gusto. After years of protests from numerous citizens, local tourism boards and national associations that protect our historical and artistic heritage, such as Italia Nostra and The Italian Touring Club, a law controlling the decorum of Italian \u2018Cities of Art\u2019 from the invasion of millions of badly dressed tourist has finally been passed. The unacceptable \u2018look\u2019 includes: shorts worn with sandals and socks, trousers worn too\u00a0low revealing \u2018intimate clothing\u2019, baggy cargo pants that finish half way down the calf, huge deformed hats, back to front baseball caps, and other bad taste head-wear.
