Part 4 will be on Katakana(\u304b\u305f\u304b\u306a).\u00a0Katakana is another writing system in Japanese.\u00a0Katakana&#8217;s are used to express foreign language words or words that originate from other countries. \u00a0I will discuss the examples below.<\/p>\n<p>Katakana&#8217;s have exactly the same pronunciation as Hiragana&#8217;s, by representing one sound for each letter. Some of them look similar between Hiragana and Katakana; however, for the most part, they do look different.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Information Dakuon(\u3060\u304f\u304a\u3093), Han-dakuon(\u306f\u3093\u3060\u304f\u304a\u3093), and Yo-on(\u3088\u3046\u304a\u3093) &amp; Sokuon(\u305d\u304f\u304a\u3093) in Hiragana? In Katakana, We have exactly the same 4 sounds to use as well. \u00a0Rules are similar to Hiragana.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dakuon(\u3060\u304f\u304a\u3093) has\u00a0\u309b attached to the basic Katakana, such as \u30d0(ba)\u3001\u30d3(bi)\u3001\u30d6(bu)<\/li>\n<li>Han-dakuon(\u306f\u3093\u3060\u304f\u304a\u3093) has\u00a0\u309cattached, just like \u30d1(pa)\u3001\u30d4(pi)\u3001\u30d7(pu)<\/li>\n<li>Yo-on is the smaller letters, such as , \u30e3\u3001\u30e5\u3001\u30e7.<\/li>\n<li>Sokuon is the smaller version of \u30c4\u3001which is \u30c3.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">So, let&#8217;s try reading Katakana&#8217;s now.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">\u30e9\u30a4\u30aa\u30f3<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">\u30c8\u30e9\u30c3\u30af<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">\u30aa\u30ec\u30f3\u30b8<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">\u30d4\u30f3\u30af<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">\u30af\u30e9\u30b9<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">\u30ae\u30bf\u30fc<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">\u30da\u30f3<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">\u30a2\u30e1\u30ea\u30ab<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">\u30ab\u30ca\u30c0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">\u30a4\u30ae\u30ea\u30b9<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">\u30b9\u30da\u30a4\u30f3<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">\u30d6\u30fc\u30c4<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">The way you would read is as follows:<\/p>\n<p>\u30e9\u30a4\u30aa\u30f3 (raion)-lion<\/p>\n<p>\u30c8\u30e9\u30c3\u30af (track)-truck<\/p>\n<p>\u30aa\u30ec\u30f3\u30b8(orenji)-orange<\/p>\n<p>\u30d4\u30f3\u30af(pinku)-Pink<\/p>\n<p>\u30af\u30e9\u30b9(kurasu)-class<\/p>\n<p>\u30ae\u30bf\u30fc(gita-)-guitter<\/p>\n<p>\u30da\u30f3(pen)-pen<\/p>\n<p>\u30a2\u30e1\u30ea\u30ab(america)-America<\/p>\n<p>\u30ab\u30ca\u30c0(kanada)-Canada<\/p>\n<p>\u30a4\u30ae\u30ea\u30b9(igirisu)-England<\/p>\n<p>\u30b9\u30da\u30a4\u30f3(spein)-Spain<\/p>\n<p>\u30d6\u30fc\u30c4(bu-tsu)-boots<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">You probably noticed that above words have very similar pronunciation as English words.
