Hi everyone.. \u00a0here in NW where I live, spring break is almost here, starting next week. Kids are looking forward to it so much, but me? I am not so sure. Since we are staying in town, I would have to find something for kids to do, to keep them busy, etc….<\/p>\n
So, with the spring break approaching right around the corner, I thought I would write a post about it. Kids in Japan also have spring break at the end of March. Spring break is “Haru yasumi”<\/strong> in Japanese. Haru is “spring”, and Yasumi is “break”. \u6625\u3000\u4f11\u307f\u3000\uff08\u306f\u308b\u3000\u3084\u3059\u307f\uff09<\/strong> is how you would write in Kanji and Hiragana.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Just like we would say in English, “winter break” or “summer break”, you can also say those in Japanese, like<\/p>\n Summer break ==> Natsu yasumi (\u590f\u3000\u4f11\u307f\u3001\u306a\u3064\u3000\u3084\u3059\u307f\uff09<\/strong><\/p>\n Winter break ==> Fuyu yasumi \uff08\u51ac\u3000\u4f11\u307f\u3001\u3075\u3086\u3000\u3084\u3059\u307f\uff09<\/strong><\/p>\n You could also say<\/p>\n Fall break ==> Aki yasumi (\u79cb\u3000\u4f11\u307f\u3001\u3042\u304d\u3000\u3084\u3059\u307f)<\/strong><\/p>\n However, we don’t officially have those in Japan.
