You can let them know as simple as \u201cleft\u201d and \u201cright\u201d; however, the more specific you can be, the better so they will know exactly where to look for. In this article today, I would like to go over the basics first, then move onto more detailed explanation in my next article. So, if you are always wondering how to tell positioning in Japanese, read on!<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s start off with easy ones first.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Left &amp; Right, Right &amp; Left<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Left \u2013 Hidari (\u5de6\u3001\u3072\u3060\u308a)<\/p>\n<p>You will see the school on your left. (\u305d\u306e\u3000\u5b66\u6821\u306f\u3000\u5de6\u5074\u306b\u3000\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002\u305d\u306e\u3000\u304c\u3063\u3053\u3046\u306f\u3000\u3072\u3060\u308a\u304c\u308f\u306b\u3000\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002)<\/p>\n<p>Right \u2013Migi (\u53f3\u3001\u307f\u304e)<\/p>\n<p>Turn right. (\u53f3\u306b\u3000\u66f2\u304c\u3063\u3066\u3002\u307f\u304e\u306b\u3000\u307e\u304c\u3063\u3066\u3002)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Order\uff5e<\/p>\n<p>1st<sup>\u00a0\u00a0 <\/sup>\u00a0&#8211; Ichi ban me (\u4e00\u756a\u76ee\u3001\u3044\u3061\u3070\u3093\u3081)<\/p>\n<p>2nd<sup>\u00a0 <\/sup>\u00a0&#8211; Ni ban me (\u4e8c\u756a\u76ee\u3001\u306b\u3070\u3093\u3081)<\/p>\n<p>3rd <sup>\u00a0<\/sup>&#8211; San ban me (\u4e09\u756a\u76ee\u3001\u3055\u3093\u3070\u3093\u3081)<\/p>\n<p>4th &#8211; Yon ban me (\u56db\u756a\u76ee\u3001\u3088\u3093\u3070\u3093\u3081)<\/p>\n<p>5th <sup>\u00a0<\/sup>\u2013Go ban me (\u4e94\u756a\u76ee\u3001\u3054\u3070\u3093\u3081) <sup>\u00a0\u00a0<\/sup><\/p>\n<p>6th\u2013 Roku ban me (\u516d\u756a\u76ee\u3001\u308d\u304f\u3070\u3093\u3081)<\/p>\n<p>7th<sup>\u00a0 <\/sup>\u00a0&#8211; Nana ban me (\u4e03\u756a\u76ee\u3001\u306a\u306a\u3070\u3093\u3081)<\/p>\n<p>8th &#8211; Hachi ban me (\u516b\u756a\u76ee\u3001\u306f\u3061\u3070\u3093\u3081)<\/p>\n<p>9th &#8211; Kyu ban me (\u4e5d\u756a\u76ee\u3001\u304d\u3085\u3046\u3070\u3093\u3081)<\/p>\n<p>10th \u2013 Gyu ban me (\u5341\u756a\u76ee\u3001\u3058\u3085\u3046\u3070\u3093\u3081)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>When you are expressing &#8220;orders&#8221; in Japanese, this is must know. Basically, you just need to add &#8220;banme&#8221; at the end of each number.
