(\u304b\u308c<\/strong>\/\u5f7c<\/strong> = him. \u306e <\/strong>= possessive particle. \u3080\u3059\u3081<\/strong>\/\u5a18<\/strong> = daughter. \u306f<\/strong> = particle. \u3069\u3046<\/strong> =how, in what way, about. \u306a\u308a\u307e\u3057\u305f<\/strong> = became. \u304b<\/strong> = question particle.)<\/p>\n

When using a noun to show a change in state, use noun + \u306b\u306a\u308b<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u6765\u5e74\u3001\u5927\u5b66\u9662\u751f\u306b\u306a\u308a\u307e\u3059<\/strong> = I will be (literally \u201cbecome\u201d or \u201cturn into) a graduate student next year.<\/p>\n

(\u3089\u3044\u306d\u3093<\/strong>\/ \u6765\u5e74<\/strong>. \u3060\u3044\u304c\u304f\u3044\u3093\u305b\u3044<\/strong>\/\u5927\u5b66\u9662\u751f<\/strong> = graduate student. \u306b\u306a\u308a\u307e\u3059<\/strong> = become)<\/p>\n

You can also use \u306a\u308b <\/strong>in the past tense :<\/p>\n

When using a \u306a<\/strong> adjective, leave off the \u306a<\/strong> and add \u306b\u306a\u308b<\/strong> :<\/p>\n

\u6700\u8fd1\u3001\u3046\u3069\u3093\u304c\u597d\u304d\u306b\u306a\u308a\u307e\u3057\u305f<\/strong> = I have recently grown to like udon<\/p>\n

When using an \u3044 <\/strong>adjective, drop the \u3044<\/strong> at the end of the adjective and add the stem to the \u304f\u306a\u308b<\/strong> :<\/p>\n
