This is the company that started the \u201cdry beer\u201d craze in Japan. \u201cDry Beer\u201d refers to a type of Japanese lager. In fact, beer such as \u201cAsahi Super Dry\u201d is one of its more popular brands.<\/p>\n<p>Suntory (<strong>\u30b5\u30f3\u30c8\u30ea<\/strong><strong>\u30fc<\/strong>) was originally a small shop selling imported wines. The shop was doing so well that it became a company. The company began experiments in malt whiskey, and sold its first successful malt whiskey in Japan.<\/p>\n<p>Sapporo Breweries (<strong>\u30b5\u30c3\u30dd\u30ed\u30d3\u30fc\u30eb\u682a\u5f0f\u4f1a<\/strong><strong>\u793e<\/strong>) is a Japanese company that started in Sapporo, Japan. It now has company branches in Canada and the U.S. This company is known for its light and dark lagers. It also has a non alcoholic malt drink on the market as well.<\/p>\n<p>Orion Breweries (<strong>\u30aa\u30ea\u30aa\u30f3\u30d3\u30fc\u30eb\u682a\u5f0f\u4f1a<\/strong><strong>\u793e<\/strong>) is a company that is big in Okinawa, Japan. At first Orion produced their beers after German brands, but changed their products to taste more like American beers. Soon Orion\u2019s beers became a fast selling staple in Okinawa.<\/p>\n<p>The name for Kirin Brewery (<strong>\u9e92\u9e9f\u9ea6\u9152\u682a\u5f0f\u4f1a<\/strong><strong>\u793e<\/strong>) was named after a mythological Chinese creature. The logo on Kirin is also of this creature. Kirin is a huge company, with holdings in Asia, U.S. and New Zealand.
