If you need beautiful piano music to enjoy the strikingly beautiful blue sky and vibrant foliage outside, try listening to these piano pieces composed by <em>\uc774\ub8e8\ub9c8<\/em><em> (<\/em>Yiruma): \u201cRiver Flows In You,\u201d \u201cKiss The Rain,\u201d and \u201cMaybe.\u201d Especially, his composition \u201cPoem\u201d \u2013 a musical poem without words- will extend your enjoyment of this wonderful season.<\/p>\n<p>South Korean <em>\ud53c\uc544\ub2c8\uc2a4\ud2b8 <\/em>(pianist) and <em>\uc791\uace1\uac00<\/em> (composer), <em>\uc774\ub8e8\ub9c8 <\/em>(Yiruma), welcomed the beginning of <em>\uac00\uc744<\/em> (fall) with captivating piano melodies in Washington, DC, the last week of September. He has been touring and performing around the world in 2016, and this was his last stop in <em>\ubbf8\uad6d <\/em>(America): His concert title was \u201cAutumn Rain Live 2016 with\u00a0<em>\uc774\ub8e8\ub9c8\u00a0<\/em>(Yiruma).\u201d He has been my favorite Korean pianist and composer over a decade. Can you imagine how excited I was to go to his concert? If you are not familiar with his music, I suggest two musicians, Jim Brickman and Kevin Kern; who have somewhat similar styles to Yiruma.<\/p>\n<p><em>\uc774\ub8e8\ub9c8<\/em> (Yiruma) gained his popularity through Asia, Europe, and North America because of his romantic and inviting melody lines. Interestingly, genre of his <em>\uc74c\uc545<\/em> (music) is somewhat vague since his music includes the following elements: <em>\ud074\ub798\uc2dd <\/em>(classical) <em>\ud604\ub300 <\/em>(contemporary), <em>\ud31d <\/em>(popular), <em>\uc7ac\uc988<\/em> (Jazz), and <em>\ub274\uc5d0\uc774\uc9c0 <\/em>(new age). This is probably why his music is well received by so many people around the world. His compositions include main theme music of popular Korean dramas, such as \u201c <em>\ubd04\uc758 \uc648\uce20 <\/em>(Spring Waltz)\u201d, \u201c<em>\uaca8\uc6b8 \uc5f0\uac00 <\/em>(Winter Sonata),\u201d and \u201c<em>\uc2dc\ud06c\ub9bf \uac00\ub4e0 <\/em>(Secret Garden).&#8221; In addition to these OST (Original Sounds Track), he composed pieces for movies and collaborated with many well-known musicians in Korea and overseas.<\/p>\n<p>This YouTube has some of his popular pieces; especially, \u201cRiver Flows In You,\u201d \u201cKiss The Rain,\u201d \u201cMaybe,\u201d and \u201cWhen The Love Falls\u201d, all well-known tunes to many people. You don\u2019t have to try too hard to understand his tunes. Just close your eyes and listen to his captivating sweet-sounding melodies. Your ears will be engaged to these tuneful sounds; they will be resonated throughout the enchanting fall musical journey in your mind.
