Welcome to the second part of Scavenger Hunt at a Korean Supermarket. I hope you are somewhat\u00a0<\/strong>familiar with a Korean supermarket now. Going to a Korean supermarket could help you practice your Korean skills and become acquainted with Korean food.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In my last post<\/a>,<\/span> I introduced several kinds of Korean \uc300<\/em><\/span> (rice), common\uccad\uacfc\ubb3c<\/em><\/span> (fresh\u00a0produce) that is used in Korean cooking, \ub450\ubd80<\/em><\/span> (tofu) for various cooking purposes, and essential Korean \uc591\ub150<\/em><\/span> (seasonings) for your pantry. In the second post of series, I will introduce you to \ud574\uc0b0\ubb3c<\/em><\/span> (seafood), \uc721\ub958<\/em> <\/span>(meat), Korean\u00a0\ub77c\uba74<\/em><\/span> (Ramyun: instant noodles), some popular prepackaged \ub0c9\ub3d9\uc2dd\ud488<\/em><\/span> (frozen foods), and \ubc18\ucc2c<\/em> \ucf54\ub108<\/em><\/span> (side dish corner).<\/p>\n

In the back side of the store, you will not only find fresh, frozen, or dried seafood items but also be fascinated to see live blue crabs and several kinds of fish swimming around in an aquarium. This is my favorite isle because\u00a0\ub77c\uba74<\/em><\/span> (ramyun: instant noodles) is such a quick and easy way to experience tasty Korean cuisine, furthermore I have good memories of sharing \ub77c\uba74<\/em><\/span> with my friends and family members as a late night snack.\u00a0You will be amazed with the endless selection of \ub77c\uba74<\/em><\/span>. If you do not mind spending some time in this section, you would find various kinds of\u00a0\ub77c\uba74<\/span>\u00a0<\/em>to satisfy your pallets such as: spicy flavored \ub77c\uba74<\/em><\/span>, mild flavored \ub77c\uba74<\/em><\/span>, seafood flavored \ub77c\uba74<\/em><\/span>, \uc9dc\uc7a5\ub77c\uba74<\/em><\/span> (black bean paste ramyun), Kimchi flavored \ub77c\uba74<\/em><\/span>, and \ube44\ube54\ub77c\uba74<\/em><\/span> (spicy flavored noodles without soups).<\/p>\n

If you want a convenient way to enjoy Korean food, there are many kinds of prepackaged frozen foods with simple recipes: you can simply heat up, steam, or fry them on the stove, or you can find delicious microwavable food for your convenience as well. It is like a delicatessen where you will find fully prepared food or dishes that require little preparation to serve. This section will have mouthwatering authentic Korean food in containers for you to take home. In addition to numerous\u00a0\ubc18\ucc2c<\/em><\/span> (side dishes) such as packaged \uae40\uce58<\/em> <\/span>(Kimchi), \uc7a1\ucc44<\/em><\/span> (Korean sweet potato starch noodles with meat and vegetables), \uc804<\/span> (pancakes), \uac10\uc790\uc870\ub9bc<\/em> <\/span>(braised potatoes), you can grab \uad6d<\/em><\/span> (soups), \ucc0c\uac1c<\/em> <\/span>(stews), or some packed dishes that take little preparation for serving.
