Idiomatic expressions are figurative, so they are hard to understand unless you are familiar with their actual meanings. In this post, I would like to introduce several idiomatic expressions that you will often hear from native Korean speakers. If you enjoy watching Korean dramas or TV shows, you will also hear these expressions frequently.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><span style=\"color: #808000\">\ub208\uc5d0<\/span><\/em><span style=\"color: #808000\"> <em>\ucf69\uae4d\uc9c0\uac00<\/em> <em>\uc50c\ub2e4\u00a0<\/em><\/span> (basic form): It literally means that a <span style=\"color: #808000\"><em>\ucf69\uae4d\uc9c0<\/em><\/span> (bean pod) has been <em>\uc50c\ub2e4<\/em> (put on) an\u00a0<span style=\"color: #808000\"><em>\ub208<\/em><\/span> (eye). Its actual meaning is that someone is blinded by love and doesn\u2019t see any flaws in the other person. You will hear <span style=\"color: #808000\">\u201c<em>\ub208\uc5d0<\/em> <em>\ucf69\uae4d\uc9c0\uac00<\/em> <em>\uc50c\uc600\uc5b4<\/em> \u201d<\/span> (informal) or<span style=\"color: #808000\"><em> \u201c<\/em><em>\ub208\uc5d0<\/em> <em>\ucf69\uae4d\uc9c0\uac00<\/em> <em>\uc50c\uc600\uc5b4\uc694<\/em><em>\u201d <\/em><\/span>(polite).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808000\"><em>\uae30\uac00<\/em> <em>\ub9c9\ud788\ub2e4<\/em><\/span>\u00a0 (basic form): It literally means that the <span style=\"color: #808000\"><em>\uae30<\/em><\/span> (energy flow) in your body\u00a0<span style=\"color: #808000\"><em>\ub9c9\ud788\ub2e4<\/em><\/span> (is blocked). Interestingly, this expression can be used in opposite situations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">1. The first example is within a negative situation.
