Two Koreas are making great progress in reducing the tension and building a peaceful relationship between them.<\/p>\n<p>For over seven decades, <span style=\"color: #808000\"><em>\ubd81\ud55c\u00a0<\/em><\/span>(North Korea) and <em><span style=\"color: #808000\">\ub0a8\ud55c\u00a0<\/span><\/em>(South Korea) maintained the <span style=\"color: #808000\"><em>\ud734\uc804\uc120\u00a0<\/em><\/span>(armistice line), which also refers to the\u00a0<span style=\"color: #808000\"><em>\uad70\uc0ac<\/em><em>\ubd84\uacc4\uc120\u00a0<\/em><\/span>(military demarcation line). Instead of an\u00a0<span style=\"color: #808000\"><em>\uacf5\uc2dd\uc801\uc778\u00a0<\/em><\/span>(official) <span style=\"color: #808000\"><em>\ud3c9\ud654<\/em><em>\uc870\uc57d\u00a0<\/em><\/span>(peace treaty agreement), the <span style=\"color: #808000\"><em>\ud734\uc804<\/em><em>\ud611\uc815\u00a0<\/em><\/span>(Armistice Agreement) was signed on July 27, 1953, and this agreement resulted in a ceasefire status between North and South Koreas. After signing the <span style=\"color: #808000\"><em>\uad70\uc0ac\ubd84\uc57c\u00a0<\/em><em>\ud569\uc758\uc11c\u00a0<\/em><\/span>(Comprehensive Military Agreement) on September 19, the two countries worked on <span style=\"color: #808000\"><em>\uc9c0\ub8b0<\/em><em>\uc81c\uac70\u00a0<\/em><\/span>(demining) in the <span style=\"color: #808000\"><em>\ube44\ubb34\uc7a5<\/em><em>\uc9c0\ub300\u00a0<\/em><\/span>(Demilitarized Zone) and Joint Security Area (JSA), withdrawing <span style=\"color: #808000\"><em>\ucd08\uc18c\u00a0<\/em><\/span>(guard posts), and removing firearms. The JSA area will be controlled by the trilateral effort of two Koreas and the\u00a0<span style=\"color: #808000\"><em>\uc720\uc5d4<\/em><em>\uc0ac\ub839\ubd80\u00a0<\/em><\/span>(United Nation command).<\/p>\n<p>JSA has represented physical and symbolic <span style=\"color: #808000\"><em>\ubd84\ub2e8\u00a0<\/em><\/span>(division) of the North and South Koreas for over seventy years. However, this area now symbolizes potential <span style=\"color: #808000\"><em>\ud3c9\ud654\u00a0<\/em><\/span>(peace) and <span style=\"color: #808000\"><em>\ud1b5\uc77c\u00a0<\/em><\/span>(unification) of the two Koreas. The visit to the JSA is halted temporarily due to the installation of <span style=\"color: #808000\"><em>\uac10\uc2dc<\/em><em>\uc7a5\ube44\u00a0<\/em><\/span>(surveillance equipment) and new guard posts.
