Prince Sado tragically died in a rice chest after he was politically framed by the nobles of the court. His son, King Jeongjo, built Hwaseong Fortress as a way of restoring honor to his father (Prince Sado) and exonerating his good name. Hwaseong Fortress is located in Gyeonggi Province (<strong>\uacbd\uae30\ub3c4<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p>The Beacon Tower (<strong>\ubd09\ub3c8<\/strong>) was where guards used a system of smoke signals and torch lights to warn the sight of an advancing enemy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p>The Northeast Crossbow Platform (<strong>\ub3d9\ubd81\ub178\ub300<\/strong>) was where archers shot their bow and arrows at the enemy below (pictured below).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p>The Secret Eastern Gate (<strong>\ub3d9\uc554\ubb38<\/strong>) was a secret passageway hidden from enemy view.
