It\u2019s a threepeat! Transparent Language Online received its third Platinum Award in LibraryWork\u2019s 2018 Modern Library Awards<\/a> (MLAs).<\/p>\n

The MLAs were established to recognize the top products in the library industry in a truly unbiased format. Submitted products were sent to the LibraryWorks database of more than 80,000 librarians at public, K-12, academic, and special libraries. Only customers with experience with these products in their organizations were permitted to judge the products. Each judge scored the product from 1-10 on a series of questions regarding functionality, value, customer service, and beyond.<\/p>\n

Awards are then given on the following scores:<\/p>\n

6.5 – 7.4 \u2013 Silver Award
\n7.5 – 8.4 \u2013 Gold Award
\n8.5 -10.0 \u2013 Platinum Award<\/p>\n

We are humbled to receive such high markings for Transparent Language Online. It is our pleasure to work with public and academic libraries throughout the English-speaking world. We believe<\/a> that all libraries should offer online language learning opportunities to their community, and already partner with hundreds of libraries<\/a> to achieve that goal.<\/p>\n

We also believe libraries know what their diverse, curious communities need. That\u2019s why we carefully collect and implement library feedback into the platform; in 2017, at the request of library customers, we added new languages (including Hmong<\/a>) and better mobile compatibility<\/a> for on-the-go learners. This award acknowledges the success of that collaborative relationship with our libraries.<\/p>\n

In the MLA judging, one Iowa librarian highlighted the Survival Spanish for Librarians course<\/a> included in every subscription, as well as the onboarding process: \u201cWe are very impressed by this product. Libraries are so excited that it is offered statewide here in Iowa and look forward to offering it their patrons. We love the Survival Spanish for Librarians feature and the ease of setting up an account and getting started with the training.”<\/p>\n
