Below we\u2019ve compiled a list of <strong>FREE<\/strong> language and culture resources that you, your students, and your kids can access from home in the coming weeks. The list ranges from full-length online language courses (full disclosure: they\u2019re ours) to virtual museum tours and short TED videos.<\/p>\n<p>We hope this list will help those who wish to continue engaging with language and culture during this uncertain time. And if your library doesn\u2019t offer Transparent Language Online, give them a call anyway to see what they <em>do<\/em> offer. From art to history to textiles\u2014there\u2019s a lit bit of everything, and many include signs in the target language so you\u2019re getting both culture <em>and<\/em> language.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Transparent Language &amp; Culture Blogs<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>We publish <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.transparent.com\/\"><strong>language and culture blogs<\/strong><\/a><strong> in about two dozen languages<\/strong>, covering everything from basic to advanced grammar, current events, holidays, music, and specialized vocabulary.<\/p>\n<p><u>Pro tip<\/u>: use the search bar to explore 8-10+ years of archived posts to find what <em>exactly<\/em> what you need! That means there\u2019s hundreds of hours of talks on science, technology, culture, and beyond that you can pair with subtitles in the language you\u2019re learning! Netflix has been ramping up their foreign language content in recent years, so if you\u2019re cooped up, consider <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailydot.com\/upstream\/best-foreign-tv-shows-netflix\/\">one of these films<\/a> (they all have English subtitles if you so desire!)<\/p>\n<p>But even better\u2014even if you\u2019re stuck at home, you don\u2019t have to watch alone! <strong>A new, free Chrome browser extension is making it possible to have virtual <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/entertainment\/tv\/2020\/03\/17\/coronavirus-netflix-party-lets-friends-do-movie-nights-quarantine\/5072347002\/\">Netflix \u201cparties\u201d<\/a> with friends or family.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Geoguessr Game<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>This fun, interactive game is probably best for high school aged learners and above.
